Payton Manning a Bush Supporter (my title)
The Boston Herald ^ | October 31, 2004 | Mark Murphy

In an investigative study of the Federal Election Commission's database published last week, the Indianapolis Star found that only 31 current athletes and coaches out of a pool of approximately 4,300 contributed to a political campaign over the past year. Leagues included in the study were Major League Baseball, the NBA, NHL, NFL and WNBA, in addition to the top-50 ranked competitors in NASCAR, the IRL, PGA, Champions Tour and LPGA. Of the 31 contributors, 23 sent money to George W. Bush, including a $2,000 check from Peyton Manning. No one contributed to Kerry, though another eight - including former Celtics coach Jim O'Brien [news] ($1,000) and Pacers coach Rick Carlisle ($2,000), supported the Democratic primary campaign of Kerry's running mate - Senator John Edwards.

A Southern white guy who makes more than $200K per year voting for Bush. I'm shocked, shocked!

:-)

Peyton is the man!! Another reason I am proud to be a Colts fan, to go from the bad old days of Jeff George to this (despite that ugly game going on right now).

Adam Dunn of the Cincinnati Reds does. And their owner Carl Lindner is a big time Republican.

Sorry man, it appears that the chief defense has a bunch of Kerry supporters which explains why they are so inconsistent.
