Reporting from Rock Island, IL

There is a Bush sign on a busy road in the city I live in, one of the nice big ones. Problem is, I live in a heavily Democrat infested area and the sign gets vandalized alot. Origonally some little jerks walked up and put a big black swastica over bush's name. The owner of the sign came out, put paper over the swastica and then colored in the paper to match the sign. I generally watched this with amusement as I noticed the sign now and then. Well the little jerks came back and ripped the paper off, then with what im assuming was a box cutter, cut the sign in 3 parts. (Held up by 3 pieces of rebar, or im sure it would have been in smaller parts.) Well driving by it yesterday with a friend of mine I noticed the sign and we decided we'd go fix it. 5$ at a pharmacy / grocery mart and we purchased ourselves a big roll of duct tape and returned to the scene of the crime. It took us about 5 minutes to figure out who actually owned the property the sign was on, but once we did he gave us permission to play Dr. Frankenstien with his sign. We turned it around so the swastica faced away from the street and proceeded to duct tape the ever loving crap out of it. To all the democrats who read this board, not all of us are rich, some of us are hicks.

The picture above is of the side of the sign facing away from the board, if you look very carefully you might be able to see what's left of the swastica that we didn't tape over. It's right over the H in bush's name...Sorry for photo quality but this picture was taken with a cell phone.

From Indiana: Went out yesterday to walk for Mitch Daniels and heard a story about people coming down from Detroit to take Bush/Cheney signs. Today there are lots of Kerry signs on my side of town, but no Bush/Cheney ones.

These are the same tactics used by Hitler's Brownshirts.

Thank the public school teachers who have done such a fine job instilling patriotism and civic pride in the youth of today.

Their pants will probably be down around their ankles soon, just like their hero, Bill Clinton, a fellow who raised the standards for young Democrats to emulate.

Unfortunately it's really not that uncommon. I Live in the quad cities which is a very odd voting area sense we are on the boarder of davenport which is a very important city for who will take Iowa. The IL democrats tear up bush signs on the IL side of the river, and the IL republicans do the door walking for votes in Iowa sense IL is a lost cause...sorta funny.

Did the kids later deface the sign with a red X? Cause that's all I can see.

Can't see the picture....but you were great to help them fix their signs...I'll be you really made their day.

I live in a homeowners association and we are not allowed to post sign...but someone keeps putting up Kerry signs on the common property. That's property we ALL pay to maintain...and signs are not allowed there either. I have had the great pleasure of pulling them out and tearing them down then ripping them to shreds. People should learn the rules ....and if it's the hard way..so be it.
