a commercial for the Ionic Breeze...

It's only gonna get worse...they've also started to drop in those nauseating Cristy Lane commercials again this year; something to gag us repeatedly right up until Christmas.

How about one of those armed Predators? Follow up with a B-52 strike to make sure. All we need is a little DNA sample.

the nearest B-52 base in the region is in Diego Garcia in the Arabia sea ,a good 4-5 flight over the vast stretch of peninsular India(a timeframe which will allow OBL the luxury to go where he wants). It is unlikely that the US has any air assets in the region-so only the Indian airforce which has many bases in Jammu & Kashmir & an even a base in Ladakh would have to handle the action.Though, any action would possibly be undertaken by using special forces on the ground due the peculiarity & sensitive nature of the region provided it's him.

I hope the next time he's "sighted" it's by a Marine sniper.

Let's not be picky. Army snipers can shoot as well as Marine snipers.

Imagine....

You wake up tomorrow morning....Arafat has died and it has been verified that he was poisoned by one of his own. Then it is announced that OBL has been taken alive and we see him opening wide with a tongue depressor shoved in his mouth, totally humiliated before the world.

Almost too much good news to bear, but I'm willing to try.

....any nuclear blast will be interpreted as an Indian attack on them.

Not if it's in the 5-megaton range. Then everyone will know it was ours.

Hey, that country is pretty much empty up there. Go for it!

And diplomatic repercussions have to take a back seat to killing this guy in a way that conveys a distinct and coherent message to all his followers.

As Pakistan's original cooperation in the taliban removal was secured with Rumsfeld's promise through Central Command that India's involvement or any India support would be kept at arms length in regards to Pakistan theater of influence, the idea that this is leaked or affirmed is crazy.

tell that to the Chicoms or the wackos in Islamabad??that part of the world may have a sparse population, but is of extreme importance for both India & China.India recently upgraded it's airbases there to operate the Mig-29 & SU-30 fighter bombers in response to Chinese facilities in Tibet capable of operating the SU-27.

Bin Laden spotted and "George is to busy with Iraq to be able to respond". Plays right into Kerry's position and therefore was started by him.

That was my impression when someone mentioned that all our Predators are in Iraq. This smells.

Bush will win regardless of how many nonsense stories Kerry and the other girls at the DNC come up with in the interim.

True - nothing wrong at all with an Army sniper.

Predators are available in all theaters of operation. They fly some around the borders today. They are not very expensive compared to other air assets, and Uncle Sam is buying them as fast as they come off production lines.

Would it be something if we really did get him before the election?

Ugh!! Dear Lord, no! It would look incredibly staged and could conceivably cost Dubya the election. I can wait a few more days for this *(@%$#!'s head on a platter.

That's why it's being floated out there.

I would've preferred bombed to bits of pink goo.

In an odd way, this reminds me of my favorite joke of all-time:

Long ago, when sailing ships ruled the waves, a captain and his crew were in danger of being boarded by a pirate ship. As the crew became frantic, the captain bellowed to his First Mate, "Bring me my red shirt!" The First Mate quickly retrieved the captain's red shirt, which the captain put on and led the crew to battle the pirate boarding party. Although some casualties occurred among the crew, the pirates were repelled.

Later that day, the lookout screamed that there were two pirate vessels sending boarding parties. The crew cowered in fear, but the captain, calm as ever bellowed, "Bring me my red shirt!" And once again the battle was on, however, the Captain and his crew repelled both boarding parties, although this time more casualties occurred.

Weary from the battles, the men sat around on deck that night recounting the day's occurrences when an ensign looked to the Captain and asked, "Sir, why did you call for your red shirt before the battle?" The Captain, giving the ensign a look that only a captain can give, exhorted, "If I am wounded in battle, the red shirt does not show the wound and thus, you men will continue to fight unafraid." The men sat in silence marveling at the courage of such a man.

As dawn came the next morning, the lookout screamed that there were pirate ships, 10 of them, all with boarding parties on their way. The men became silent and looked to the Captain, their leader, for his usual command.

The Captain, calm as ever, bellowed, "Bring me my brown pants!"

Only one Bin Laden sighting? I can top that!

It's Halloween. Heck, we've had at least fifty Bin Laden sightings in my neighborhood alone tonight.
