I will let you in on a SECRET about our health care:
IT IS FREE!!!!!!!FREE I SAY, FREE!!!!
I pay about 48% in taxes, mostly goes to pay the health care system. DO YOU KNOW WHAT I GET for 48%, LET ME START.
I get 7-15 HOURS of waiting time in the emergency room.
I get to wait 3 months to see a doctor so he can tell me that I need to wait another YEAR to have a surgical procedure done.
I get to go to DOCTORS for NOTHING JUST SO THEY can CHARGE the government.
I broke my fingers, and you know, the doctors put it in a cast, and I thank them for it, but 3 years later (NO OPERATION only therapy) I still have misery making a fist. They did NOTHING, my mother could have told me what the doctors said to me. ALL THEY DID WAS GIVE ME APPOINTMENTS SO THEY CAN CHARGE THE GOVERNMENT.
Oh yeah - did I mention that we don't have a military - I am sure you heard about the second hand (pre owned) submarines we bought from Great Britain, one of the subs while being transfered to Canada caught fire and killed a marine...
We are broke, our system is broke!!!!
This is what KERRY will get you - OUR SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK!!!
I hear they get free dental care in England.
You're a great American! ;)
Thank you for posting this. But I have to say that I'm cynical on this particular issue--I think it's going to happen here because too many people see free health care as a "right". JMHO.
I understand that not only is the Canadian healthcare system in trouble, the British, French and German systems are headed for insolvency. Kerry knows he cannot really deliver on "universal healthcare", he uses this rhetoric to fire up his base.
I guess the rest goes to paying for that boondoggle gun registration system?
Geez, I feel for ya! What, if anything, is going on up there to change things. I can't imagine how you stand it!
Medical care will never cost so much as when it is free!
You think that's bad. 15 years ago (when I was 19) I had a severe stroke that nearly killed me. I'm still partially paralyzed. I went to St. Patrick's in Toronto almost two months before it happened. I was always dizzy and vomitting. My left side would get very weak and I would collapse. I had severe headaches. Classic signs of an impending stroke. The doctor refused to give me an MRI (instead he gave me a blood test) and sent me on my way. Two months later I woke up completely paralyzed in a hospital bed.
I already cast my vote for Bush!
When I could have had free health care!
Why didn't someone tell me!!!
When we FReep the leftists in DC, one of our favorite chants is:
SWIM TO CUBA, SWIM TO CUBA
FREE HEALTHCARE, FREE EDUCATION
In spite of the free healthcare in Cuba, few seem to be moving there.
In one of his recent columns Mark Steyn talked about 600 people a year dying just in the Province of Quebec from an ailment basically caused by filthy conditions in the hospitals.
%95 of the funds for Universal Healthcare will support the gov't buracracy and %5 if you're lucky, will filter down to American patients.
Now, lets examone the Bush medical savings plan. %100 of your money goes into a tax exempt account lowering your tax liability like an IRA, %100 of your money comes back to you in the time of need.
Haven't stupid Democrat voters heard of cutting out the middle man???? Oh, lets go on, lets go with Social Security. How many SSI offices are in US citys? How many SSI employees are there? How much money (%) from your SSI payroll deduction goes to support the gov't buracracy and what is left for you?
Stupid Socialist Democrats won't realize their folly until it's too late.
Dental care is free? Yep, the most dentist free in the world!
They have national health care in Greece and my relatives over there tell us (their words) that we'd have to be out of our minds to want it here. They said that the quality is so terrible that they all pay for private health insurance so they don't have to rely on it. According to them, the only people who use the national system are people who are out of work and have no other choice.
I wish you could post this on the cover of ever paper in America.
I'm so sorry. The Democrat Party and the RINO's here have
succeeded in culling themselves out an automatic voting
base that is based on entitlements. They want to increase
this base until it composes about 60% of the population so
power will always be in their hands, with the other 40%
of us slaving away 9 months out of the year just to foot
the bill for this huge "automatic Democrat voting bloc".
Oh, they'll toss the rest of us a peanut in the form of
"health insurance", for which we'll still have to pay huge
premiums and they'll also control this and it will be like
everything else the government gets its hands on. -
So sorry about your trials with the "health care industry".
I'm just trying to get as healthy as I can and stay out of
the doctor's office as much as I can. This whole election
which I call, "The Culmination of John Kerry's Master Plan
for His Entire Life", along with all the bin Laden stuff,
is making me sick in itself!
Why my goodness! Do you mean Kiefer Sutherland is wrong? Butbut, his grandfather wanted ALL Canadians to be healthy!
This article is an eye-opener:

I think you are preaching to the choir here. The Canadian system is an anathema to Republicans because, while it gives everyone equal access, it also makes everyone equally worse off.
Both Democrats and Republicans seek to equalize the classes. Here is the difference:
Republican utopia is to bring everyone's standard of living up to that of the wealthiest.
Democratic/Socialist utopia is to bring everyone's standard of living down to that of the poorest.
The unknown is, which philosophy does the "independent" voter find more appealing. I would hope the GOP, but the Dems know how to dress up a pig mighty perty.
