As a math teacher, I have to tell you that that is mathematically impossible. There are only 538 electoral votes at stake, so it is impossible to win by 537 . . .
Ooooooh. You meant regular votes. Sorry, I was looking at the landslide in waiting.

That is an excellent point. My wife and I noticed that, while living down south, we RARELY saw bumper stickers on cars. In New Hampshire, it is rare to see a car WITHOUT a bumper sticker. (We have two vehicles...neither sports a bumper sticker.)
I think the DUI story came out on the Thursday before the election in 2000 (otherwise on Friday--no later than that).
Here's a link to a good article on Daschle's hypocrisy:
My link above is not working. Try this:

I don't think Kerry took it into consideration -- he was so intent on winning Ohio and didn't factor in the census impact. I prefer to say that OK lost one of its electoral votes to Texas! :)
SD reelected Daschle in 1992, when it also approved the reelection of GHWB.
Agreed that we know the votes split like that. But did Daschle have a serious challenger in 1992?
The only thing Walter Cronkite is good for, is hosting PBS's "New Years in Vienna" special every January 1st.
war drums beating in background.....war paint being painted on.
the red man luvs the sad man.
Ted Kennedy, Bob KKK Byrd, and Jay Moneyfellow have been all over WV the last three DAYS. They were down in sw WV were the Kennedy's bought WV for JFK in 1960. Maybe the money came again. In the book West Virginia Tough Boys, it suggest Teddy might have been a bag man. I know they met with the political bosses.
Several people were arrested during the primarys in May in LoganCounty, WV .(dimocrats)
There was a picture of Teddy holding a Bible in the Charleston newspaper. Yeah right Ted's a Christian, just like skerry a hunter.
In "honor" of his visit on Friday I wore my Ted Kennedy School of Swimming.
Bush will win Wv. The Christians will see to it.
