Tehran, Oct. 30 - Zhila Izadyar, the 13-year-old schoolgirl from the Iranian town of Marivan (north-western Iran) who is sentenced to be stoned to death is reported to be in poor health after she was lashed 55 times in prison.
Azad Zamani of the Society for the Protection of Children’s Rights has said that Zhila’s health has been rapidly deteriorating.
Zamani has managed to visit Zhila although under close supervision of the Iranian regime’s agents. Zamani stated that Zhila said, “I am scared; I want to go home; I want to be able to go back to school like other kids”.
Zhila was convicted of having an incestuous relationship with her 15-year-old brother and giving birth to an illegitimate child.
Zhila is reported to have been in a very bad state while she has had to spend time in solitary confinement under close guard. Zamani had reported that Zhila now has a very bad eating pattern and she constantly vomits.
Another source, who wished not to be named, said that Zhila has been beaten by guards while she in jail and has not been allowed to see her newborn child.
Reports have also come out that Zhila’s brother Bakhtiar has also been flogged in prison. Zhila faces death by stoning while Bakhtiar faces 150 lashes as well as prison time, according to the clerical judge who issued their verdict.

I really need Bush to win next week. The world needs a good Christian man in the White House, to counter these devils.
Stories like this, and some others on unrelated topics, not even about "the religion of peace" at all, really make me wonder sometimes if we are not approaching the end-times.

They will go nuclear unless someone stops them. Iran is waiting for election results. They KNOW Bush will try to stop them and that is the only thing that might make them hesitate, fear of what Bush might do. They know Bush will bomb the cr*p out of them if they go ahead with their nuclear program. The only chance they'll change direction is if Bush is elected. If Kerry is elected they might try to make a deal (like North Korea did with Clinton) to take the heat off and then renege, and they would probably be successful. If not, they'd go ahead anyway betting that Kerry won't do anything to stop them, and they'd probably be right. In that case, Israel will try bomb them.

We can bomb Iran and Syria at the same time. Bush just doesn't dare threaten them until after the election. There are many advantages to having significant forces on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan. The military strategists in Kerry's campaign, if there are any, apparently don't look at maps too often. They also don't understand war.
