No suprise there, he was a whack-job when he was in office. It may hurt a bit in NH I think.

For Bob SMith to cross party lines he'd have to endorse Bush. :)

Another Republican egomaniac crashes and burns. He might as well be Jim Jeffords, only nothing he does matters anymore.

It's an interesting contrast that RINO Mark Hatfield, a peacenik far more liberal than Smith, is a strong Bush supporter.

Bob Smith is bitter that the Bush Administration endorsed Sununu in 2002 in New Hampshire and Mel Martinez when he ran for Senator in the Florida primary. He is nothing but a bitter man.

I am glad to see the loser endorse Kerry. Rove must be a genius; a senator tossed out in NH for being too liberal, who carpetbags to Florida to run for Senate and the floridians don't give him the time of day. I think Bush is happy to see miscreants of all supposed party affiliations toss their support to the commie bastard.

He got mad before, left the party and became an independent, lost his clout in the Senate and became an R again.

...

"It shows he's a hypocrite or a sore loser, I don't know which," Carney said, adding that he doubted the endorsement will bring in many votes. "I would say the people who support Bob Smith were serious people with ideological and principled ideas. They are not going to squander their vote for a spoilsport."

The Kerry camp welcomed the Smith endorsement and held it alongside that of other Republicans and independents who say they are voting for Kerry: Minnesota's former governor, Jesse Ventura; John Eisenhower, son of former president Dwight Eisenhower; Lee Iacocca, former Chrysler chief; and 200 Granite Staters. ...

Amazing what hatred will do if you let it eat you up.

Good point- I was impressed -and frankly amazed by Hatfield's endorsement.

Bob Smith was a jerk- now he's a jackass.

Where's all those ***TRUE CONSERVATIVES*** that got PO'd when Bobby lost the Senate primary and said we'd regret it because he was a real ***TRUE CONSERVATIVE***?
