It's an interesting contrast that RINO Mark Hatfield, a peacenik far more liberal than Smith, is a strong Bush supporter.
I am glad to see the loser endorse Kerry. Rove must be a genius; a senator tossed out in NH for being too liberal, who carpetbags to Florida to run for Senate and the floridians don't give him the time of day. I think Bush is happy to see miscreants of all supposed party affiliations toss their support to the commie bastard.

He got mad before, left the party and became an independent, lost his clout in the Senate and became an R again.
