To be fair, our much beloved MSM could have edited it themselves. After all, that kind of news might give Bush a boost in the polls.

The story I heard on FNC this morn was the State Department requested that Quatar lean on al-Jezera to get them to hold back the whole tape -- when that failed they agreed to hold back the parts the CIA thought might be signaling for attacks.

I'm not sure I think they should show these tapes on TV. I'm not concerned about it making things better or worse for Bush or Kerry, but I'm very concerned that it might contain coded messages, which wouldn't be something like "I'll get you Bush" or whatever, nothing straight forward like that. It could also just be an inspiration to some wanna be jihadi. Who probably lives about 3 blocks from me.

No, I think it's oissible the administration asked that only an edited version be played because of concerns it may send signals to sleeper cells. So the MSM could be acting responsibly in this case.
