I may be wrong, but its my opinion that the "higher authorities" are doing so because the military is suppose to be seen as non-partisan. Thus, if you were to appear, the dnc and the MSM would falsely claim the Bush/Cheney campaign and the Republicans were attempting to bring the military into the election. It matters not to the MSM and the dnc that kerry has already done this. But, Republicans and the "higher authorities" are proving that they are respecting the Constitution.

Even if the allegations are true (I think they are) it could cause a backlash and be viewed as a last minute dirty trick. Unless someone like the former Secretary of the Navy Lehman would say it is true, the whole damn thing could blow up in our faces.

However, after the election and Kerry's defeat it will be time to explore the allegations with extreme vigor.

Explain what? There was no rally; there was no email; there were only rumors by people we don't know who kept signing up and posting the same thing over and over -- and it turned out not to be true.

It could well be that the political calculus shows us ahead w/o an October Surprise.

The depths to which the Donks have sunk are definitely turning out our base and it could be that targeted polling is picking up disgust among the undecideds.

If we are perceived as being too aggressive, it could backfire. Due to the legacy media's refusal to report anything negative about Kerry, those who live in the leftist echo chamber haven't a clue as to who he is. AFTER we win, the Vets can make sure Kerry loses in MA and never again has a national platform, if that is what they want to do. They can also pillory the legacy media when the truth does come out. Book contracts will be available to any journo who is willing to tell the truth about their outlet vis-a-vis this election. There are loads of writers w/no affiliation with the media, as well.

I have purchased Unfit and Stolen Honor and donated to the SBVFT. The history of the past 32 years needs to be rewritten. I stand with the SBVFT and the POWs. But we cannot risk a backlash this close to Election Day when we are ahead. We have too much to lose.

Now that I think about it I believe that DITHF was from around the Dallas area...... Isn't this one claiming San Antonio...... must be something in that Texas branch water....
