Let me clarify.

Don't get me wrong. Of course, I believe the "evil ones" want to take down the whole United States.

OBL's threat is only an attempt sway the election.

Because they KNOW that Bush's reelection means they will be hunted down and destroyed.

Kerry's election would "more convenient" for them to continue their war of terror on the free world.

I agree that the translation was pretty incoherent on several points, but Osama has never been particularly clear. Gotta say I'm surprised he's even alive.
There's one possibility that has been overlooked: "Your security is not in the hands of Kerry or Bush..."

Some commentators have noted that Osama did not write this speech. This is just part one of an October surprise. It sets up the capture of Osama tomorrow (Sunday). To have just captured him before the election would be attacked as crass politics. This speech sets up the coming event and provides an alibi.

I puzzled over the definition of "states" wondering if he meant nations or states within the USofA. I too was left with the impression that he means states within the USofA, who really knows.

If he does mean states within the USofA then I'm sure Texas is a prime target, which should be interesting since we Texans love our guns and feel all warm and snuggly with them close by.

Nice gun. My wife has the 3" fixed sight GP-100. I think they are underrated as revolvers. Rugers may not have the fine workmanship of a Smith but there is no gun I've ever picked up that inspired more confidence that it would go "boom" when requested.
