Moore yells in Lehigh speech: '4 more days!'

Activist moviemaker tells packed house that Bush must go. Dozens of protesters gather outside.

By Genevieve Marshall Of The Morning Call

October 30, 2004

America has shifted to a more liberal ideology and it's only a matter of time before George W. Bush and the Republicans realize that they are in the minority, filmmaker Michael Moore said Friday in a speech at Lehigh University's Stabler Arena.

''Four more days!'' Moore yelled, rallying Democrats to head to the polls on Tuesday. It is also a reference to the end of his month-long, 60-city ''Slacker Uprising Tour.''

''The majority of our citizens don't want assault weapons available on the streets of our cities,'' Moore said. ''They want stronger environmental laws, and they believe women should be paid the same as men.''

Moore took to the stage like an aging, overweight rock star. The crowd of more than 5,000 people greeted him with a standing ovation, cheers and stomping.

At one point, he had everyone take out their cell phones, turn them on, and wave them in the air. The blue screens were a substitute for cigarette lighters at a speech that seemed more like a concert, and included music composed by his friend Jeff Gibbs, a co-producer of his award-winning film, ''Fahrenheit 9/11.''

Though critics have slammed it as a promotional tool for the film, Moore said his visits to college campuses in 20 battleground states are his attempt to get out the vote.

Moore spent much of his time onstage mocking Bush, from his mannerisms to matters of substance. The president's decision to send troops into Iraq took the most hits.

The fat man gets off on the adulation of these pathetic college kids and gets paid $30,000-$50,000 for each appearance by the leftists running the universities. And parents send in the big bucks for this laughable, useless "education". Who are the really stupid enablers in this scenario?

Perhaps that is the defining difference between Moore drones and sentient beings. Self-respect is a wonderful thing. It has been known to cause people to believe that they are responsible for their actions and who knows where that might lead.

4 more days indeed. I hope all who surround Michael Moore have plastic sheeting ready. When he blows, the debris will be a toxic nightmare.

Which is about how much evil capitalist mommy and daddy pay to send those kids to get trashed for 5 years and possibly get a degree they will never apply in any serious way.

LOL! Somebody needs to point out a few things to Mikey, like the 2002 mid-term elections, the Republican majority in both houses of congress, the shift in the state houses and governorships towards Republicans.

The trend has been strong since the late 1980's, and continues to gain momentum.

If (god forbid) the Fraud wins the electoral vote, he will be hamstrung by the Republican Congress at every turn.
