Three Detained in Raid Near Bayji

Tikrit, Iraq – Fist Infantry Division Soldiers from Task Force 1-7 detained three individuals during a raid near Bayji at about 10:30 p.m., October 29. The three are related to a known anti-Iraqi force member, who was the target of the raid. The three are being questioned at Multi-National facilities.

Three AIF Suspects Detained After Assaulting civilian Near Ad Duluiyah

Tikrit, Iraq – Fist Infantry Division Soldiers detained three individuals while investigating the source of small arms fire they heard near Ad Duluiyah at about 8:08 p.m., October 29. Upon arrival it was discovered that suspected anti-Iraqi force members that went into a nearby house assaulted an Iraqi civilian. Three detainees were taken from the home and are related to the individual who assaulted the civilian. The three are being questioned at Multi-National facilities.

MNF, ISF Detain 22 During Operation Near Kirkuk

Tikrit, Iraq – Multi-National Forces and Iraqi Security Forces detained 22 individuals during a joint operation near Kirkuk on Oct. 29 at about 11:30 p.m.

During the operation, the Soldiers conducted searches to prevent future attacks and acts of intimidation in the area. The Soldiers transported the individuals to a MNF detention facility for questioning. Nine of the detainees were known AIF cell members. There were no injuries reported during the operation.
