Backlash Draft

Posted on 10/30/2004 12:45:16 AM PDT by Earthdweller

Has anyone else picked up on the new word on the street from the military that if Kerry is elected they will not serve another term under him? This is scarey. If 75% of the military quit..who will protect our country in a few years? The liberals? What is the real possibility of a draft with Kerry?

The majority of the military survived the Clinton years, even with his awful expeditions abroad, they'll likely survive Kerry as well.

I know my brother is going to get his twenty-five, no matter who is president, though he'll be looking towards sea duty if Kerry's in office.

Our soldiers will uphold their oath to the country and the constitution no matter who wins.

Well, at least he'd have the support of all his colleagues, right, Charlie Rangle? Hello? Hello? (Sound of crickets chirping)

I do not have a clue what will happen. I know that Kerry will never use the American military to defend this country without making them wear powder blue helmets and saluting a blue rag.

I do think that those that can wont choose to re-up. That the recruiting numbers will go down. Those I talk to dont want to serve under Kerry.

I'd feel bad for our men and women in uniform knowing they'd be serving under a traitor. But I know they'd see the bigger picture...defending America from its enemies abroad.

I heard a military man call in to Hannity yesterday that said he's been taking his own informal poll and 9 out of 10 were saying if Kerry is elected they would retire.

4 years is not that long, but long enough to Kerryize the military with liberal wack jobs in charge just like Clinton did. We need our best to stay in spite of Kerry.

Yes they will - thats not the question, but I know of
at least 3 officers (1 Navy 2 Army) who will resign their commission if kerry is elected. The refuse to serve a traitor OR any people who would elect a traitor.

Everyone I know that is active duty will not re up under Kerry. If I were still in I wouldn't either.

Consider the draft a done deal if horseface wins. That's OK, it's all in his PLAN anyway. "National service for all" doncha know.

I'm gone at the end of this tour if Kerry is the President. He can draft americorps types for the international meals on wheels missions. We won't be hunting the terrorists, so what's the point in sticking around and taking the King's shilling?

Kerry would depend on the UN to defend us.

Can you imagine 9/11 if Kerry were president then? How many other terrorist acts would have happened before anything was done as he waited for the UN to draft more worthless resolutions?

No matter wallowing in nightmares anyway. Kerry won't be sitting in the Oval Office anytime soon. Even Soros is throwing in the towel.

So who will we have running against Hillary for 2008?

If anyone in the military chooses not to reenlist, that is their right. Kerry proposes National Service. Now Kerry himself did not rule out a draft under his administration if things went bad. Edwards said absolutely not, not draft under any circumstances. How's that for a disagreement within the ranks?

Statement: 76% of the military serving presently do not support a John Kerry presidency. (Who wants to serve under a traitor posing as a military hero? )

Kerry admitted to Tom Brokaw 2 days ago that "his military record is not public" after telling the public that his 'entire' military record was up on his website.

His campaign people have admitted that Christmas in Cambodia didn't happen. And then there's that touchy little problem about one of his bronse stars being awarded to him for 'an unintentional self-inflicted wound."

Additionally, General Tommy Franks and a number of present and former military personell have filed a petition against Kerry with the Justice Department. Small problem with the type of discharge that he initially received... less than honorable... since he needed President Carter and President Clinton to re-issue his formal discharge papers.

Check out Thomas Lipscomb...Chicago Sun Times... who has been investigating Comrade Kerry's records... Ooops almost forgot...papers recently found indicate that Kerry took orders from Hanoi.... That could be an issue.

So... military has NO incentive for serving under a traitor... and why would they protect ungrateful Americans?

Let the liberals send their own sons and daughters to protect liberal land... Daughters? Did I fail to mention that the feminazis set up this scenerio years ago...

Kerry's website has a piece about how he wants young people who need student aid to perform service - military and community for the country... I see a problem with 'who need student aid for college'... This means only poor and middle class kids will serve... It's a class system draft...(Don't stress this too much... You should already know that you're not as good as the elite left. They only want your vote. Know your place and serve Kerry if he's elected.)

Going forward... The Fraternal Order of Police (police, firefighters, etc.) have endorsed President Bush...

Have a nice day digesting what all of this means... :o)

Opinion: Military and police are most likely sick to death of living in a dammed if you do, dammed if you don't liberal world...

Vote Bush....

This has been an unstated undercurrent of the campaign for months, and that undercurrent is growing stronger as the election nears. In the tragic event of a Kerry election, not only will you see an exodus of enlistees who will decide NOT to "re-up", but I believe that you will see officers resigning their commissions en masse.

The election of an empty-suit, phony-baloney scumbag like Kerry would have a monumental effect on national security and military preparedness.

Fortunately, Kerry will not be elected.

A few people who are in the military for the income, benefits, political correctness or missions that western Europeans would love will stay in the US military. Those individuals are in it for personal career reasons only and will sneer at others who say that they joined for patriotic reasons. If Kerry is elected, many others will get out when their time is up or as soon as they can.

Our military is no place for political correctness. For morale purposes, something also needs to be done about our civilian divorce industry and employment practices regarding enlisted prior service personal.

And yes, I'm a little testy this morning. One of my buddies who was a veteran recently died not long after being fired by a school district that hates prior service men and all that is conservative. I've seen that sort of thing happen too many times, and the legal remedy isn't worth bothering with.
