In four more days sKerry will return to the back benches of the Senate and we won't have to listen to his drivel any longer. However, the MSM will begin subjecting us to four years of barking from the junior senator from NY.

The limit for the Iowa market is $500. So unless people are using false names to stack up their bets, it's not really real money, as compared to, e.g., TradeSports, which has no such limit.

Osama has made a stupid mistake. Bush may not win on Tuesday, but Osama has boosted his odds.

Remember the "DUI discovery" worked against Bush by a LOT at the last minute in 2000? Who knows what the 'rats will pull on Sunday night and Monday? It ain't over until it's over. So KEEP ON CAMPAIGNING ! Consider copying and emailing things like THIS again.

Maybe Osama is placing bets and wanted to protect his investment.

Well, you're both right, but there's not a lot of people that are willing to throw away money to make a point.
Besides, a market will always correct itself. Especially in this case. It's not like they can corner the market.
The Hunt Brothers were willing to take delivery of silver to control the market. These contact will either close at $1.00 or $0.00.
If they get out of whack, someone else will come along and correct them.

They don't gain financially. But because "market-based indicators" like TradeSports and the Iowa market are now followed much like polls these day, someone may want to manipulate these markets to disspirit and drive down the energy of the opposition.

"What does someone gain by manipulating these markets?""Manipulating the Bush reelection futures to spook the stock market would be a terrific way to make voters feel down about the economy when they step into the voting booth on November 2. Would the man who broke the Bank of England hesitate to do this? Interesting arbitrage opportunity here. Bush is worth about 54 cents on TradeSports vs. nearly 58 cents on the Iowa Electronic Market (I think TradeSports has a European bias).
If you buy on TradeSports and sell on IEM, you can pick up some free money.

What will Kerry do? You can bet they're up late tonight at RAT headquarters trying to come up with something to counter this.
