Osama Speaks Again

Written by Barbara Stock

Saturday, October 30, 2004

A new tape of Osama bin Laden has surfaced and the world is holding its collective breath to hear what he has to say. Why? Who cares what a mass-murdering-fundamentalist-Islamic terrorist has to say?

It should be obvious to everyone that this is being done now to affect the outcome of our election. Either the terrorists have been unable to carry out the massive attack that has been promised for three years, or they have decided that an attack might make the American people so angry they would surely re-elect George Bush. So, bin Laden has taken the only path left to him: release a tape, blame everything on Bush--thus endorsing John Kerry--and hope that the American people are stupid enough to vote the hated Bush out of office.

I just listened to a man speak of the first known terror attack against our country--the Iranian hostage crisis in the 1970’s under Jimmy Carter, a Democrat. Unbelievably, this man related how ''diplomacy'' freed the hostages, proving that diplomacy can work with terrorists. Really? The ''diplomacy'' he spoke about was this in a nutshell: Wimp Carter was voted out of office and a strong Ronald Reagan was elected. The Iranian terrorists knew Carter was no threat. The Ayatollah laughed at him and his ''diplomacy.'' But this new President--Reagan--he was different. He was a Republican and didn’t seem to be in the mood to discuss the situation. Wisely, Iran decided to release our people as Reagan was taking the oath of office. This was not a gesture of good will, this was an ''Okay, here are your people, don’t bomb us back to the stone-age.'' Terrorists only fear one thing--power that is not theirs.

Today we received a video tape from a murderer, addressing the American people. Well, isn’t that just special. Osama refers to how the president sat reading to children while 50,000 Americans needed him. What, exactly, the president could have personally done from hundreds of miles away is not clear. Despite being the president of the United States, Bush is not God. Isn’t it interesting that Bin Laden repeated that particular liberal line in his little diatribe. I can’t imagine where he might have heard that. Liberals have been using that line for three years to show how ineffectual Bush is as president. That he just sat there, they said, for seven whole minutes, as America was attacked. Of course, John Kerry made the statement that he, John Kerry, and several other senators were ''frozen in their seats'' for 40 minutes. That’s 33 minutes longer than the president. Perhaps Osama saw ''Fahrenheit 9/11.'' I’m guessing Osama is a huge Michael Moore fan. Moore is just the kind of stupid American the terrorists dream about. I have no doubt that the enemy is hoping there are many, many like Moore.

Of course, there is the usual offer of ''do what I want and we won’t hurt you again'' statement. Osama said, ''The best way to avoid another Manhattan is to stop threatening Muslims' security.'' Not a chance, Buster. What you are really saying is, please stop killing my followers. Muslim ''security'' is quite safe. It’s you we are after. It is you, Mr. Bin Laden who has to send a videotape of yourself because you don’t dare show your face live anywhere in the world. So who is losing this war?

It is Osama bin Laden who made a gross mistake when he attacked the American mainland. It was bin Laden who didn’t take into consideration that a Democrat no longer sat in the oval office. It was this Republican president who ran Osama and his Taliban friends out of power in Afghanistan. It was a Republican president that removed your ally, Saddam, from Iraq. Now al Qaeda minions are there, killing fellow Muslims without regard or guilt and bin Laden blames us for attacking Muslims? Libya, choosing wisely not to walk the same path as Saddam, handed over its weapons of mass destruction. The terrorists in Iran are now in the cross-hairs of American scrutiny. The Saudis have killed many of bin Laden’s friends and allies. Things aren’t going quite the way Bin Laden expected.

Instead of being cheered as the liberator of Muslims around the world, bin Laden has to run and hide. Approximately 50 million Muslims have been freed from fundamentalist domination and out from under bin Laden's control. The terrorists' worst enemy, democracy, is within the reach of millions of Muslims. Millions of Muslims living under tyranny are watching closely. No, things have not gone well for Bin Laden. Things have not gone well for one reason: George W. Bush.

That is the reason for this tape. That is the reason Bin Laden is frantic to rid himself of the man who didn’t react as he believed he would. Bush fought back. Bin Laden probably feels Kerry, who seems to adore the likes of Jacques Chirac, good friend of Yassar Arafat and Saddam Hussein, would be much easier to deal with than Bush. There probably is little doubt in Osama’s mind that any man so entwined with the totally ineffectual and terrorist-leaning United Nations is a man who will not be such a threat to his cause.

Don’t be fooled, America. Osama bin Laden is nothing more than a thug on the run. Despite the bravado, Osama feels his great cause slipping away from him. He believes, for good reason, that his life and that of his terrorists groups will be easier under John Kerry. He isn’t sure how much better, but nothing could be worse than what he has now. We know that bin Laden hates Bush. We know that bin Laden hated America long before Bush took office. So, that only leaves one reason for bin Laden to make a tape he hopes will swing the election to John Kerry.

Bin Laden fears Bush and he does not fear Kerry. Personally, I like the idea that our enemy fears our president. Let’s keep it that way.

All in favor of picking up the paper tomorrow and reading the temperature in Fallujah for the weekend is going to be 5,200 degrees, due to Bush's response to the threat, please raise your hands! Thank You

Well d@mn!

Imagine this if you will:

You're the president. You've just been told in the bluntest fashion that terrorists have struck the WTC in NY. It takes time to digest this information. You sit thinking.

I can't imagine the thoughts running thru his mind. The weight of the responsibility is astronomical. Who are "we" to judge such a heavy burden?

This is why Michael Snore and the democRATs piss me off! And now the camel humper chimes in with the same rhetoric! Un-F***ing-Believable!

What the leftist idiots and islamofascists don't realize is that he just couldn't get up and run out -- the Secret Service undoubtedly had to check the immediate area outside the school and get reports from other agents on the route to the airport, to make sure that they wouldn't be leading him into an assassination attempt.
