Action 2 News has learned Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry will campaign once again in Northeast Wisconsin.
Senator Kerry will be in Appleton this Saturday for a political rally inside Roosevelt Middle School, 318 East Brewster Street. Doors open at 7:30 a.m.
The event is free and open to everyone. Al Gordon of the Kerry-Edwards campaign says people don't need a ticket, "just come on down."
Senator Kerry was just in the Green Bay area Monday and Tuesday, and had a campaign rally at Lawrence University in Appleton on October 15th.
President Bush is also rallying in our area Saturday morning, at Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena in Ashwaubenon at 11:35 a.m. Tickets are available at Republican Party headquarters at 1920 Libal Street in Green Bay until 7 p.m. or until the tickets run out.
It's the second time in two weeks the two leading candidates have campaigned in our area within miles and within hours of each other.
In a Boston Herald article ("Kerry steeling himself for visit to Heinz territory", 1/23/2002), Teresa Heinz Kerry revealed her true feelings about the Packers loyalists. She mentioned that, at the 1996 Super Bowl, Green Bay Packer fans were "partying harder than anyone she had ever seen".
"I've never seen fans drink so much," she said.
Interesting... sKerry is campaigning inside a middle school and Bush goes to an arena. How many people can fit inside a middle school arena?? Maybe 1,000 if he's lucky. The bottom line is the guy can't draw a crowd unless he goes to extreme liberal cities.
Perhaps the two candidates could meet each other on the frozen tundra of Lambert Field.
John Kerry: What a laughing stock this fool has become.
Isn't Appleton the headquarters for the John Birch Society?
Hopefully they'll make this Communist feel un-welcome!
Isn't that where the Pickers play?
You mean big baseball fan Kerry is going to miss the parade for his beloved Red Sox tomorrow here in Boston? Eddie Yost will be so disappointed.
Or unless he's onstage with Clinton or the "Tour for Change"--notice that word, "change," not "Tour for Kerry." Because who'd come out for this boring dude?
Please show some respect: That's sacred frozen tundra. Each winter the snow and ice on the sacred frozen tundra is lovingly collected and carved up into ice cubes with G logos on each one, and then sold as souvenirs before the spring thaw.
Can you imagine CNN and ABC decribing the Red Sox as sKerry's "beloved" team?
He couldn't name a current player except Manny Orteeezzz.
Phony and the Boston radio stations play his ignorant baseball statements every day!
Yep, but remember at the Clinton event public employees were given the afternoon off to fill the park!
The "Hatch Act was repealed for the day."
Kerry knows about Shilling now!
Spring thaw, Independence Day, and the beginning of Fall -- all in one week-long celebration!
You know he couldn't name three players on the team. And yet Bush, who actually OWNED a team and has lots of friends among people in the game, is never linked to the sport by the MSM, other than occasionally making some snide comment that "he" traded away Sammy Sosa (as if he had been making individual player transactions.)
This is the year for exorcising demons:
Saddam Hussein was captured and removed from power in Iraq.
The Red Sox end "The Curse"
Next, thousands of Vietnam Vets settle an old score with John Kerry.
huge mistake. having a rally in GB when the packers are playing anywhere on the planet is begging for what the MSM will call "a meager crowd".
He may know Pedro too, but he is an "outdoors person" and enjoys all sports. He got booed at Fenway in July because he is a Wind Surfing, Partrician Whooossseee!
The two seasons in Wisconsin --
1)Snow Plows and 2)Road Construction!
Go Pack!!
Real baseball players know Bush is connected. They also know sKerry is a phony "outdoors person."
Man, I hope to God you are right!!!!
