SO HE'S ALIVE (Andrew Sullivan's deeply saddened)
andrewsullivan.com ^ | 10/30/04 | Andrew Sullivan

Bummer. I'd hoped he was buried under rubble. What to make of the rant? The parroting of idiotic Michael Moore points was a little pathetic for an alleged spiritual mastermind. And the re-calibration of the rationale for 9/11 - again retroactively talking of Palestinians - was the usual vile opportunism. But why release a tape just before the elections? The obvious impact will be to help Bush. Any reminder of the 9/11 attacks will provoke a national rallying to the commander-in-chief. The deep emotional bond so many of us formed with the president back then is Bush's strongest weapon in this election, and OBL has just revived it. The real October Surprise turned out not to be OBL's capture (sorry, Teresa!) but OBL's resilience. I have a feeling that this will tip the election decisively toward the incumbent. A few hours ago, I thought Kerry was headed for victory. Now I think the opposite. I also have a sinking feeling that that was entirely bin Laden's objective.

First, we didn't "turn" to Roosevelt to inter the japanese he was already president. A republican would have likely done the same thing.

Do you think a Republican would have gotten away with something like that?

Yes it was Democrats that got us into and escalated Vietnam, but it was Republicans that took care of Grenada, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

Go back over the last 100 years and make a couple of comparisons: 1) the number of casualties the U.S. has suffered in wars in which U.S. involvement began under Democrats vs. Republicans, and 2) the moral outrage from supposedly "compassionate" liberals over wars in which U.S. involvement began under Democrats vs. Republicans.

Taking lessons from Michael Moore no doubt.

This is complete crap. It is really quite simple. If we assume that Bin Laden is intelligent (which is a big assumption), then it is obvious that he wants Bush to win. There is no reverse phsychology. He just doesn't live here. Imagine, living outside of America and not understanding Americans. If you wanted to hurt Bush, you would base your actions on what you know about America:

So, the problem is not that Bin Laden was not smart. The problem is that he thinks Americans believe the propaganda pushed by the MSM (just like Middle Easterners believe the stuff the Al Jazeera puts out). What he doesn't know is that the MSM has no credibility in this country anymore, and doesn't reflect the views of the American people.

To Andrew Sullivan:

He's alive; he wants to kill us; John Kerry is a surrender monkey; tighten your belt Andrew; clear your rectum and waken up to reality. There are in fact folks on this planet whose sole goal in life is to kill us, all of us Andrew, gays included.

You endorsed Kerry... Be careful what you wish for... As for me, I'll cast my vote for the guy who'll save you're sorry ass for more butt fun... Rest peacefully Andrew, the parents ARE in the building...

You got it right. The radical Islamofascists think 90% of Westerners are weak, materialistic hedonists with no stomach for war. They think that because majorities in some European countries are like that (Spain, France, etc.). But elsewhere it's more like 40% of the population. America, Australia, and (hopefully) Great Britain, for example. Kerry will get that 40%, plus a few more brain dead yellow dog 'Rats who don't even conceptualize issues when they vote. But Bush will win!

I was responding to a post that implied that it is better for a Democrat to be at the helm in a war situation, therefore Kerry better than Bush. I rejected that idea with my response.

After Bush wins by a bigger margin than the polls predicted, the media will credit Bin Laden with affecting the outcome of the election. Thus, the MSM will finally hate Bin Laden as much as the rest of us. It must have been Karl Rove strategery.

It is better for a Democrat to be at the helm if you need him to pursue a war strategy that would be considered a war crime under normal circumstances. Trust me -- they'll never be taken to task for it.

From viewing the video and reading the transcript, I did not grok that OBL wants Kerry to win. I think bin Laden is drawn to Bush and his father like a moth to a flame, or a drunk to an enabler. Whip me, Daddy! It's a male dominance thing, and Kerry's already wearing Teresa's apron -- he just doesn't pass the pheromes test. Put Kerry in a dress and he even resembles bin Laden, like looking in the mirror. What's with the pink neckties all the time, and the limp-wristed football photo ops? Kerry's a wuss.

Bush is the mysterious, threatening, bowlegged, Texas tough-guy "other." OBL wants a challenging game of chess, not a quick easy win against a weak sister. Besides, he's got no infrastructure to back up his taunts, so he's just playing "nyah, nyah!" like an 8th-grader. His Allah can beat up our "Allah".

(Not!)

And OBTW: "Truuuue loooovvve!"

After watching and listening to OBL, any American voter that votes for John Kerry needs to have their head examined. What OBL is saying is that he wants a time out, so he can regroup to come back and murder us all. John Kerry would give him that time and more. As a result. OBL will slaughter millions of unsuspecting Americans. OBL is down now, and now we need GW Bush to deliver the knockout blow. No mercy for this killer of American innocents. And...any American Jew that votes for Kerry is absolutely insane. He wants "every" Jew in the world slaughtered or beheaded.

dittos, IMO , OBL does not really care who gets in, either way he sees victory. I think he is stalling for time until Iran gets his Plutonium pellet ready so he can arm his backpack nuke that he got from Kazahkstan. Next strike...... BIG NUKIE time to buy lots of canned food, ammo and have an escape plan if you live in a large city, forget about using the roads out. Study the wind patterns in your city, the contamination will spread out on the wind. I have my eye on some seldom visited boats in the harbor, the only escape from LA (300 days out of the year) will be out to sea, west-northwest, prevailing winds head east. If you have lots of Family decide on meeting sites along the escape route there will be no time tarry.

The Hysteric Left likes to throw out this "net gain" mytholody to justify their posture of appeasement and isolationism.

Exactly. We just need to make sure we kill them faster than the madrassas can turn them out.

Someone has advised Owhataboxloaden that women are emotional in America and that if they feel threatened and are given an emotional 'escape route' they will take it even if irrational to do so. Translation?... Scare women into thinking continued war against terrorists will cause more casualties in the U.S. and hint that if Bush is elected the war will continue to 'take it to the bad guys who are just looking for a way to end this conflict' and you've pushed a significant number of votes to the Kerry camp ... it's a psy-op approach to affecting the elections and it just might work, what with the BM (Big Media) digging for ways to help Kerry get votes out of this warning and the earlier one by the American Jihadi freak.
