BREAKING: Kerry Blames Bush For Bin Laden Tape On Local Interview. Mentions Tora Bora.

Posted on 10/29/2004 3:22:13 PM PDT by montereyp1

On a local Milwaukee news station WISN - Kerry was asked to respond to the new Bin-Laden tape and bits of it were played for him and he actually had the gall to say something to the effect of:

"Well, if Bush hadn't let him get away in Tora Bora..."

Can you believe this? After he praised the mission at the time! After Tommy Franks was very clear that no one was sure he was there. After he knows we had Special Forces in there!

He uses this awful veriled threat to score political points!

I've heard Holbrooke and Begala both say this on CNN.

There needs to be a backlash. This feeds right into "he'll say anything..."

Awaiting a transcript.

I thought he would wait at least until Sunday or Monday...

He's running out of time. If he's going to pointlessly flap his gums about this, he may as well do it now. The sooner we never have to hear his condescending voice again, the better.

I didn't see it, I didn't hear it. I heard talk of his statements about this prior but nothing about today, after the tape. But I have been told by dog that my mistrust of the newbie who posted this is out of line and since I always obey dog I have ceased and desisted sayiing I mistrust this post.

Why is this lying turd so close in the polls to President Bush? I just don't get it.

Here's one explanation: An American educational system infested with liberals has brainwashed our children for several generations, rendering them incapable of critical thinking. They have been taught that Democrats favor a caring, benevolent government while the "evil" Republicans want to suppress the masses.

I saw the Kerry segment talking some local station. It was a side by side frame of him and the anchor. She even looked a little incredulous as he said it. His remarks mirrored those of "Little Ricky" Holbrooke, speaking to Wolf a few minutes earlier. Even Wolf seemed confused that Holbrooke was saying this. Others on this thread are correct, Fox et al are using the Frenchy tarmac remarks and not repeating this other local interview.

FROM NRO: I wasn't kidding about this:

CARL CAMERON [Rich Lowry]
Says right now that in an interview with a Wisconsin station Kerry almost immediately talked about Tora Bora in reacting to the bin Laden tape.

I thought he would wait at least until Sunday or Monday to go after this

Apparently he's getting twitchy. His surrogates were doing the slamming within minutes of the broadcast, and I thought he'd try playing the high ground and letting them do the dirty work. Seems it wasn't enough for him. Another reason why this guy belongs nowhere near the red button.

Two of your threads have been really condescending to "newbies." I thought that this was a forum for the expression of conservative ideas, regardless of how long one has been a member. This condescending attitude toward those of us who are new really gets my goat (and I see it all the time on FR). Just because you have been a member since 2000 doesn't give you the right to be condescending to someone who is a recent FR convert. So - chill, and respect the right of both old-timers and newbies to FReep.

They are talking on FNC and asking the question of whether Kerry was tipped off about this tape by someone from the Pentagon

This is unbelievable; the similarities between Kerry's campaign and Bin Laden's tape:

1- Kerry Campaigns with the slogan: A fresh start, Bin Laden tells America to change its policies or else.

2- Bin Laden says in the tape: "Despite entering the fourth year after Sept. 11, Bush is still deceiving you and hiding the truth from you and therefore the reasons are still there to repeat what happened," he said. ---What has Kerry been saying for the past few days? Invoking the "missing" 300 tons of explosives. He's saying constantly, Bush tried to hide this, what else is he hiding from the American people.

STANGE similarities!

"They are talking on FNC and asking the question of whether Kerry was tipped off about this tape by someone from the Pentagon"

In other words, he had time to prepare his remarks. Any other results from this early knowledge?

The Fox all stars seem to have missed this "local" interview as well. They were giving Kerry credit for the tarmac "neutral" statement saying "Americans are United" etc. For now, they are missing the purely political local interview. This will gain legs as the night progresses.

Heard it and reported it on the other thread.

Fox then pointed out (as I see others noted) that during the Tora Bora fighting Kerry supported the plan we had.
