You have to add 3-4 points to bush in this poll.

First, it's a university of wisconsin (big time libs) poll, sponsored by two big time liberal papers.

Real Clear Politics shows Zogby giving Kerry a 3 point lead and ARG giving him a 1 point lead. Overall, RCP's average of the three polls is Kerry with a .3% edge.

If Bush doesn't carry Ohio, then Wisconsin could well be critical. I saw O'Reilly last night and one of the Bush people said they were seeing some movement in Bush's direction in NJ and Pennsylvania. I still think Wisconsin is more likely than either of those two.

Those RCP poll numbers were for Wisconsin - I should have made that clearer.

"I hate seeing those Ohio numbers."

I know what you mean. We can take heart in that almost all of these numbers in the key states are within the MOE. The LA Times number for Ohio is the exception, but I guess we can discount that, knowing their liberal bias.

To: phil_will1; Josh in PA

in PA, that military vote debacle engineered by Rendell is having an effect I think. I hope they are running ads about that in PA, its the only issue we have left to try and get ahead of Kerry there.

No kidding about their bias. Their cover today has a HUGE pic of John Kerry & Bruce Springsteen in Wisconsin with an enormous crowd behind them and then below that is a pic of W that's about 1/4 of the size of the Kerry one. Luckily, the pic of W has a big crowd but you can't tell how big because it's cropped, cropped, cropped.
