I don't think the press conference did anything to settle this.
The Major is not qualified to anser the main premise. He was not trained on how to ID HDX/RDX and was not sure if any was there.
Am I wrong?

That's exactly what the Major told the press. They refuse to accept it and keep pressing the ID question.

The press conference did just fine in showing that Kerry is making accusations without all the information.
That the U.S. military is not the three stooges in camo.
That the President dose not personally control or oversee each sight that held some of thousands of tons of munitions throughout the country. We have a military for that.
