Specter will win, but he isn't getting my vote. I just moved to PA from Virginia, where I had real Republican senators. The Republicans will pick up two or three seats in the Senate, and without Specter the GOP caucus would be more conservative. Do you realize Specter will be Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee?? With two and possible three Supreme Court Justice nominations to run? It makes me ill just thinking about it.

He won't win if enough Republicans abandon him. Do you really want a Democratic Senate? Or a minority Democrat senator with no clout? I have
to vote as a Republican first, a Pennsylvanian second and a conservative third. The first two trump the last.

Well, just when did John Warner become a "real" Republican senator? He voted to strike down Bill Clinton's impeachment. He also voted against the illustrious Pennsylvanian of the century, Judge Bork.
