Armed group claims to have Iraq explosives - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Oct. 28, 2004 | BAGHDAD, Iraq --

An armed group claimed in a video Thursday to have obtained a large amount of explosives missing from a munitions depot facility in Iraq (news - web sites) and threatened to use them against foreign troops.

A group calling itself Al-Islam's Army Brigades, Al-Karar Brigade, said it had coordinated with officers and soldiers of "the American intelligence" to obtain a "huge amount of the explosives that were in the al-Qaqaa facility."

(Full article can be viewed by subscribing at Salon) I saw this story covered earlier today on one station, and it is significant that there has been very little coverage otherwise. The direct content, or truth of the message that the terrorist scum are sending is not the most significant. Their obvious underlying purpose is the most powerful and important message. Is their timing a coincidence? Kerry attacked President Bush over the alleged "loss" of 380 tons (approx 1% of over-all amount seized by American/coalition forces) of explosives. Then President Bush countered well that Kerry, as usual, didn't have a clue because the explosives were not definitely present after the invasion began. Then, it seems almost on cue, some of Zar-scummi's blood-thirsty pigs come out of their pits to counter Bush's defense. They claim to have the explosives in question, although they have no proof.

The explosives are actually old news, but the Kerry campaign dragged it out to try to steal votes from Bush. Is it simply a coincidence that the scummy terrorists chose to make their statement this week after Bush successfully fended off Kerry's idiotic accusation.

Is it a coincidence that they made their unsupported claim 5 days before the US Presidential vote? Who would their public statement support? Not Bush: the current accusations are intended to hurt Bush.

The liberal media elites seem to say: "let's not get caught up in such trivialities as who the terrorists in Iraq want to win in the US Presidential election, did you see how some ad firm doctored one of Bush's ads, and how it was almost immediately "discovered", (requiring intense and close video analysis)that the video was doctored by an ad firm (perhaps to fill in the crowd, hide a blemish, or was it done unecessarily simply to set-up the President)?

Is a fleeting glimpse of a large crowd, doctored by a media company, with about 6 extra people out of hundreds behind President more newsworthy than terrorists campaigning for Kerry?

President George W. Bush has done a great job in engaging potent military forces against scumbag terrorists and has been successfully driving them back. They would obviously like to see him gone and the sunfish like flip-flopping Kerry does shows the terrorists that Kerry is much less a threat to them.

What an assinine claim. First, how did an underground organization steal 380 tons of anything? Second, if they had stolen these powerful explosives, don't you think they'd have used them in the 18 months since the alleged theft happend, particularly considering the plethora of car bombs and other similar attacks they've tried to ruin our efforts? Third, did this group even exist when the explosives were stolen? Most of the groups we're fighting now were organized long after the invasion.

These officers and soldiers of American Intelligence, could they have been from the DNC ?

After all Kerry does have lots of friends at the UN and could have been privy to the info!

Hmmmmmmmm.......
