"I'm calling today because I have a theory on the undecided voters. Frankly, I think they're all like me. I'm a lifelong Democrat and I voted for Gore in 2000 and as of last week I made the choice to vote for Bush."
Let's hope their are lots of others that feel this way too!
My mother, who for reasons no one can understand, has hated President Bush voted for him. Said that kerry made her squirm. Two neighbors, both life time democrats also voted for Bush. There are 8 homes on this dead end street, at least 5 will vote Bush, so at least 11 votes.
There might be. I only switched over from the dark side a month ago myself, and one of the foreshadowings of that event was when Spain caved to AQ after the terrorist attack there. I got so angry that even though I (at the time) hated Bush I vowed to vote for him. After a while I lost that energy, but finally after hearing the umpteenth liberal compare Bush to Hitler and talk about how oppressive Israel is (hmmm, now that I think about it -- Bush is Hitler for wanting to prevent another holocaust??), I snapped and turned Republican for good. I just realized that I do not see the world the way Democrats do.
He'd make ANYONE squirm if they found out who he REALLY is. Copy and email THIS to everyone who still needs to find out.
Welcome to the Grand Old Party, and welcome to Free Republic. You'll like it here.
Welcome, Jibaholic. We're happy you made the right choice!
What was her reasons?
I'm of the opinion that there is only one person who knows who will vote for whom, on election day: the person casting the vote. I really wonder if the people who claim they will vote for Kerry, will actually do so.
I had a union guy (from the telephone company) come in to our local Republican HQ this afternoon to return one of our loaner copies of "Stolen Honor"... He said that he was making all of his other local Union brothers watch it, and he said : "I think the survival of America as a soverign nation is a lot more important than raising minimum wage and "free" (socialistic) health-care."
That and the number of young folks that have been volunteering gives me a little more hope for the future .
All I'm worried about now is voter fraud.
Glad you came back from the ark side
Glad you came back from the dark side
It only hurts the first time. ;^)
Welcome aboard Jibaholic. Many Democrats are not too enthusiastic of John Kerry.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the modern Dem party has been co-opted by Socialists. They exploit the traditional Dem base. They've courted minority fringe groups to supplement their party for years.
They've reached the point now where they've alienated so many of the base members that they can barely break even on fringe idiots. And when you party is made up in a large part of small groups who have wildly differing ideas and agendas, you fracture.
The Democratic party is losing cohesion under it's own stupid tactics to appeal to any idiot willing to vote for them, and sensible, traditional Dems are disgusted and looking for an alternative.
I long for the days when you could carry on an actual, rational, good-natured argument with someone from the opposing party. Now you just get screaming, name-calling, and regurgitated talking points.
Anyway, I welcome you aboard. Good to have you.
You know.. you guys just made me recall a conversation I had with my mother-in-law this last weekend.
She lives in CA, and guess what... she's a demon-crat.
We started talking about the election and we got on the lovely topic of Partial Birth Abortion. She didn't know what it was, so I enlightened her and then explained the difference between JK and GW in just this regard.
Well she started going off about JK and Turd-rezza and pay attention now... all the things that bothered her about "that pair". I tried to remain calm.
She went on at equal lenghts about how she felt GW was a good man....!!! What is going on here?
My frustration/excitement was about to boil over, because as she talked more and more, she kept on interjecting this... but I really can't make up my mind who to vote for...
WHAT!!!!!! (I wanted to scream)
This was my final response... "Well, it sounds to me that you know exactly who you should be voting for." I left it at that.
Later my husband told her that Kerry was a scum bag and she should think of her grandchildren when she votes next week and she will make the right choice. So much for being subtle!
LOL
My mom hates Bush and voted for Gore in 2000. She's holding her nose and touching the screen for Bush this year. In Palm Beach County no less!
Welcome home! You're going to be stunned over and over by the many little revelations now that you're seeing more clearly. I sure was!
Yes. Democrats to the rescue.
And, being Democrats, be sure to vote for him early AND often...
