She must've had tapes. I knew he was guilty. Her story was too detailed to concoct. Now when we view "The Factor" we'll be watching "the pervert".

Correction: There is a settlement. And how does that differ from my title "Bill O'Reilly SETTLES!"??????
I don't think details will come out about the settlement - as is custom for such settlements.

"Correction: There is a settlement. That likely means Mackris gets little or nothing.
"
Not so fast, there. I'm sure there was money involved. $4million seems to be the number being bandied about. Not chump change.

Is he guilty?
Little primer for you non-lawyers from a lawyer: there was never any criminal prosecution, so the term "guilty" would never be applicable to this case. The terminology is "liable" or "not liable" for the alleged acts of sexual harassment.
I must assume that the settlement agreement will contain a standard "by settling, nobody admits anything" clause, so history will be the only judge.
To: sinkspur
O'Reily's wife can't be all too happy about this. I always thought Bill was a slime ball.
To: Boundless
But then, there is always his wife. What does she think of her philandering husband. Or is he going to keep the details of the settlement secret even from her?
I suspect that she's shopping for a good divorce lawyer, or at least a contractor to put an additional bedroom on the house.

I bet his stock went up in bubba's eyes!
Someone will end up with the tapes. I'm sure a respected journalist like Larry Flynt will get them.

Settlement usually means guilt. If he was guilty then he ain't as smart as he thinks he is because she just outsmarted him.

I'm curious what the settlement actually was. I'd like to see it in print.
Maybe he agreed not to tie her sorry as$ up in court for the next zillion years.
Maybe he just made a financial decision....cheaper to give her a mil than pay far more than that in lawyers and smeared reputation.

Because you implied that O'Reilly caved. In reality, it was Mackris who started the settlement talks, last week.
If she had a case, she would go to court. As it is, she likely got pocket change and a reputation as a ball-buster.
