Here's what might have happened -- I heard that someone else had a copy of the tape and was shopping it to another media outlet -- let's say the CIA got a copy of BOTH tapes to review, and they noticed that the one they got from ABC was 15 minutes too short.

That would make sense. Yest they were reporting the tape was 60 minutes long. Today I was hearing the tape was 75 minutes long. Makes sense now.
I would say "LIKELY" not "MAYBE"
Christian Science Monitor, according to previous post, claimed that they had listened to the tape. Perhaps they have a second copy? I cannot believe that ABC would consult with the CS Monitor about anything. Maybe you are correct.
