Why would it be illegal? It's my understanding they turned over a tape voluntarily. Unless they were under subpoena, I don't think it would be illegal.

Sleazy, yes. Illegal, no.

Hard to say... Technically, we're not at war, since no declaration of war has been passed by congress since WWII, so I don't think that the treason portion of the Constitution could be invoked.

On the other hand, if there were any sort of an attack, and it's proven that ABC held anything back, they would certainly be open to all sorts of civil suits, which would completely destroy the network financially... And of course, the share-holders could sue the board of directors.

But I honestly don't know if this sort of thing would really be "illegal."
