And I'll drive the getaway car and wait outside with the motor idling...listening to RUSH of course.
Everybody try to get through to Hannity with this info.. He's live in Philly and may not have a computer....
In this setting, exactly how corrupt is ABC?
CASE STUDY
Halperin Memo Dated Friday October 8, 2004
"It goes without saying that the stakes are getting very high
for the country and the campaigns - and our responsibilities become quite grave
I do not want to set off (sp?) and endless colloquy that none of us have time for today
- nor do I want to stifle one.
Please respond if you feel you can advance the discussion.
The New York Times (Nagourney/Stevenson) and Howard Fineman
on the web both make the same point today: the current Bush attacks
on Kerry involve distortions and taking things out of context in a way
that goes beyond what Kerry has done.
Kerry distorts, takes out of context, and mistakes all the time, but these are not central to his (ed. ABC-supported) efforts to win.
We have a responsibility to hold both sides accountable to the public interest,
but that doesn't mean we reflexively and artificially hold both sides
"equally" accountable when the facts don't warrant that.
I'm sure many of you have this week felt the stepped up Bush efforts
to complain about our coverage.
This is all part of their efforts to get away with as
much as possible with the stepped up, renewed efforts
to win the election by destroying Senator Kerry at least partly through distortions.
It's up to Kerry to defend himself, of course.
But as one of the few news organizations with the skill and strength to help voters evaluate what the
candidates are saying to serve the public interest.
Now is the time for all of us to step up and do that right. "
And who is Halperin?
BREAKING:
Halperin's father is none other than Morton H. Halperin,
head of [Election manipulator] George Soros' Open Society Policy Center.
NYT = 1 Down
CBS = 2 Down
ABC = 3 Down
NBC / CNN = 2 to Go
Ahh the perp walk of MSM executives. Slurp slurp (licking lips). That would be sweet.
>>>The problem is that if their is evidence of an attack, and ABC witheld info that could have helped the CIA, etc... stop it, ABC is more than responsible...<<<
Ahhhhh! I get it now!
Oh, highly interesting...ABC was just trying to find the correct "journalistic balance" for airing the tape. Sure. And I'm Joan of Arc
You are so right -- if ABC didn't turn over the original tape to be reviewed, then that is one of the most irresponsible and dangerous acts by the media to date. Everytime I think they cannot get any lower, they manage.
ABC News people involved in this decision need fired immediately!
Under what circumstances? The stupid Moos threaten us, or the politicians, every day.
If so, my hat's off to our guys. Well done.
On the video, the unknown man's face is masked with a Palestinian scarf and sunglasses. He stabs the air with his finger, which appears to be fair-skinned, as he delivers his warning in American-accented English.
"Allah willing, the streets of America will run red with blood, matching drop for drop the blood of America's victims," says the speaker, who calls himself Azzam al Amriki (or Azzam the American). "What took place on September 11th was but the opening salvo in the global war on America."
The next attacks, he adds, "could come at any moment."
snip
The tape, delivered to ABC in Islamabad last Sunday by a courier who was paid a $500 transport fee, contains a lengthy Q&A session between "Mr. Amriki" and an off-camera interviewer. It ends with his warning, which cuts off abruptly when the tape runs out.
snip
The tape's speaker references the conflict in Darfur, the 9/11 commission, Massachusetts same sex legislation, and the upcoming US presidential election.
snip
Al Amriki issues several bursts of Arabic, mainly from the Koran, speaking the language well, but not as a native, say Arabic speakers who've heard the tape. And he's clearly a sophisticated news consumer - quoting sources ranging from BBC's Arabic language radio to US comedian Bill Maher.

Isn't it always so easy to blame others for one's failings.
CIA had the tape but ABC thought they had themselves a bombshell. Just like CBS thought they had themselves a bombshell with the forged TANG documents. Stratergy...
What everyone needs to understand, is that ABC was not going to give ANYTHING to the CIA, until they were busted by the source who also informed Drudge.
Were it not for this brave individual, no one would have known anything about it until ABC sprung this on all of us on Monday.
As long as the person took precautions to insure their physical safety, this should've been a no brainer from a career standpoint. If they were found out and fired or otherwise punished, they could sue bigtime.
Perhaps the abruptness of the end of the tape gives the impression that there was more on it. The CSM report comes from someone who has seen the tape in Pakistan.

some of this getback will have to happen after the election, I suspect...
