"Well, my FRiend, I finally got around to listening to a few songs from 'Neat Stuff'..."

Wundervoll!!
Like 'em, eh? :o)

"...and demand to know where you gained access to all these parodies."

Whaaaaaatttt??
You *demand* of Landru??
To your *knees* and beg my forgiveness, you insolent knave.

Ya want the truth or, you want some primo Landru bullshit to explain the source of that stuff?
Given the degree of your impudence you oughta get a heaping helping of Landru's bullshit. {g}

"Very good stuff..."

Now how'd I know when I came into possession of that material it'd go wayyyy beyond *just* resonating with you, my friend?

"...but a bit humbling considering how long I've been at this while others are stealing my thunder...MUD"

But that's just it kid, that material's not "parody", Mud.
Not a'tall what you or a Paul Shanklin attempt to do.
It's the real McCoy as far as I can discern, complete with the *kind* of righteous rage usually reserved of leftist slanted R&R.

I mean where in the hell have you ever heard that *kind* of material before?
I hadn't & I dare say -- & with no disrespect intended to you in my saying so -- my knowledge base in music -- overall -- is at least twice yours; if, for no other reason our age difference.

Truth is, there's a Camo Belt guy I workout with at the Taekwondo studio, a "kid" no more than 35 I'd guess.
He's very conservative & we've spoken quite a bit prior to the election on how screwed-up things are, politically-speaking.

Anyway one day he comes in to workout & hands me a CD with those cuts on it.
I neglected listening to it for a couple weeks due to my busy schedule but man when I did take the time to review it I immediately thought of you (& Braveman to an extent, too).

So.
Knew as soon as I finished with my present project & was making you [both] a shipment of new EMA volumes I'd throw in a copy for you each to sample & see what happened.

Now I've asked this guy where he got 'em, wanting to know the names of songs *&* artists but this kid's not the brightest bulb on the string -- God bless 'em -- & he couldn't give me a an answer other than, "Got 'em from the Internet".

Means I've what, 30 songs, I couldn't begin to tell you who did 'em or where the hell they came from.
Sheer agony for me, y'know.

There's just *one* thing I do know for sure; which, you've deduced -- by now -- yourself.
They were produced after 911.
But any more than that, no dice.

Here's the *big* message I wanted you to take away from allo those pieces: they're all *original* works written with a specific theme.
Right?
Not unlike Iced Earth's "Glory" work?

Bottom line is you're to be inspired, and of course.

...enjoy. ;^)

"Whaaaaaatttt?? You *demand* of Landru??"

LOL...I knew "demand" was the wrong word when I wrote it, but I was in a hurry and couldn't think of a better word on the fly. But I've scanned thru about 15-20 of the songs and they are definitely all anti-Osama, anti-Taliban songs, and many rather simplistic. Makes me realize that a full CD of my anti-Clinton songs would probably get a bit tiresome...glad I've branched off into anti-Lib'ral, anti-Big Guv'ment songs with my FReeps.

FReegards...MUD

...still on the road?

Yep. Out there making central Wisconsin a "cooler place" . . .

I'm having trouble with my Evaporative Condenser control code. The fan & pump VFDs don't like it when you turn them on & off repeatedly several times a second. Go figure . . .

Last night, I came within 25 PSI of blowing the system relief valves and venting the entire 50,000lb charge. You would have heard about me in the news.

:o(

Note to Self:
Don't write control code that automatically disables every fan & pump on the condenser. Sheesh!
I guess I had a "Microsoft Moment" . . .
