Brawl for the Bench

Ralph Neas is at it again. Armed with an overflowing treasure chest of donations from the Hollywood Left, union bosses, and trial lawyers, People for the American Way president Ralph Neas is orchestrating the activities of more than 10,000 Democratic attorneys in battleground states. Using the coalition of leftist organizations brought together through years of trench warfare over judicial nominations and a database of attorneys, Neas is working to successfully accuse Republicans of suppressing voters.

The lawsuits in Florida have already begun. With 2,000 lawyers dispatched to that state alone, this was certainly bound to happen. Nine lawsuits have been filed so far with claims ranging from minority-voter disenfranchisement to provisional-ballot-count issues.

The PFAW program is charmingly named "Election Protection," and encompasses a strategy far beyond legal battles. But clearly the legal fight is the primary focus. In typical Ralph Neas fashion, he has sent out a missive to the media describing the lofty and noble goals of the program. By sending out these lengthy tomes, Neas not only satisfies his own ego-reward need, but also positions himself as the go-to guy for all reporters to get their obligatory quotes for the avalanche of election-fraud stories to come.

Lest you believe that this is yet another dismissible leftist, bear in mind that Neas is responsible for the strategy behind the defeat of Robert Bork's nomination to the Supreme Court and the subsequent battle against Clarence Thomas. He has continued to ply his trade in the nominations battle by pulling the trigger on the use of the filibuster against judicial nominees — which had never been deployed against a judicial nominee until quite recently, despite leftist claims to the contrary.

Are you kidding...?

In 6 days the Dems will be,looking at 2 thing, that will make Neas all but irrelevant.

1. An Unemployed Tom Daschle.
2. A 55 seat Majority for the (R)'s.

Now, you can argue that doesnt get past the filibuster, but there will be other Dem Senators in Strong (R) states up for re-election in 02.

Neas is powerful, but this election is too important for too many, and tempers are hot. I'd hate to see someone stir up more anger.

Also, I believe Bush will win by a wide margin. If so, how could anyone sue then?

The "Plan B" for Neas may or may not include lawsuits. It could just involved MSM enabled chattering. To underestimate Neas is to lose to him.

Uh huh. So you are saying that Chafee, Snowe, Collins, McCain, Specter and sooooooooooo many others are not a problem? We can barely keep out own caucus together.

Neas is a factor. He has three main assets at his disposal -- manpower, money and the MSM at his beck and call.

All three of those things mean little to a Senator afraid for his seat.

And I didnt say the RINOS would be rolling over, just that Enforcing a Filibuster (which the RINOS dont support) will become untenable.

You know more than I, but I have had a whiff of his reputation.

Is he in with Soros or independent or are they all in together in this?

When I left Boston media in the mid 80s, national news had been dying for years yet it's still going except the obvious fact that it's not reported actual news for a long time, but have become editorial outlets for communists, socialists and Democrats. I can't help but wonder how they survived when most liberals never watch network news. Something doesn't smell right.

Unholy Alliance

by David Horowitz
Hardcover - (September 2004) - $27.95

In this tour de force on the most important issue of our time, David Horowitz, confronts the paradox of how so many Americans, including the leadership of the Democratic Party, could turn against the War on Terror. He finds an answer in a political Left that shares a view of America as the “Great Satan” with America’s radical Islamic enemies. In a remarkable exploration of the “Mind of the Left,” Horowitz traces the evolution of American radicalism from its Communist past to its “anti-war” present. He then shows how this Left was able to turn the Democratic Party presidential campaign around and reshape its views on the War on Terror.

Neas is rolling in both Soros money and Tides Foundation money (Teresa Heinz Kerry's foundation). In addition, it was in Neas' offices that United for Peace and Justice was founded.

He is knee deep in the most radical left circles one could possibly imagine.

Whoa boy, that's worse than I imagined; I thought thinking that would be too paranoid and now know I was wrong.

Only stupid ? is one not asked: think they could be supporting network news?
