Is that a M-25 .45 Colt?

I doubt it.

The words "Smith and Wesson" are clearly visible on the barrel.

Sure they are, but it could be a M-25 .45 Colt, which refers to a cartridge, not the manufacturer. The M-25 was made in both .45 ACP and .45 Colt versions.

.45 Colt is sometimes referred to as .45 Long Colt.

Truth is, the image posted is a nickel plated M-29, .44 caliber. (Think Dirty Harry)
