A 30-minute television special produced by the Swift Boat Veterans and POWs for Truth that will be shown in key Florida markets just before election day, is available to WorldNetDaily readers online for a limited time.

"Unfit to Lead" is hosted by swiftboat vet spokesman John O'Neill and includes some of the men whose testimonies about John Kerry were heard in the advertisements played in battleground states. The TV ads, which began running in August, gained national attention and were credited with eroding support for Kerry in the presidential race.

The documentary is based largely on the group's New York Times No. 1 best seller "Unfit for Command," which challenges John Kerry's account of his war record and his anti-war activities.

In the special, one of Kerry's former superior officers, Capt. George Elliott, says he believes Kerry should have been removed from command.

Elliott was commander of Coastal Division 11, where Kerry spent his four months of active duty in Vietnam.

"If I knew then what I know now, he would have been thrown out of my command and probably recommended for removal from the Navy," Elliott says of Kerry.

Steve Gardner, who served as a gunner on a swiftboat under Kerry's command, says Kerry could have been court-martial if the chain of command knew then what it knows now.

I had a hand in the release of this video online.

I read about the impending release of this video on Tuesday. I called the distributor about obtaining a copy of the DVD overnight, but they were not yet shipping, wanted to charge double the price of the DVD to FedEx it, and couldn't guarantee that I'd even get it before election day.

I called the producers of "Unfit to Lead" and talked to them about this situation. I said that if they wanted to get this message out before the point would mostly likely be moot that they would need to use non-traditional distribution methods to get it out there. I discussed with them the model that "Stolen Honor" (a similar video) was using in that buyers could either order the DVD to be shipped to them or they could pay a one time pay-per-view fee to watch it online via streaming video.

The producers liked the idea and asked me to get more information for them. They were too busy to do the footwork as they were negotiating with various television broadcast outlets to have the video broadcast before the election.

I called the "Stolen Honor" folks to ask them how they put their video online and if they would be willing to assist. I got nowhere with them.

I used my technical skills to determine the exact method by which "Stolen Honor" was being distributed online. I contacted the company that was distributing it and obtained further information about cost, etc.

I went back to the "Unfit to Lead" producers and gave them more information. They started encoding the video in a digital format that I was going to then further encode for online streaming.

I was also told that they had successfully negotiated to get the video broadcast on 9 channels in Florida this Sunday night and that they were working to get it broadcast elsewhere.

Soon after that, Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily contacted the producers and released a story about the video and its upcoming broadcast on his website. He also offered to host and market a pay-per-view version of the video.

I contacted the producers on Thursday morning to discuss technical details of the streaming video. They told me about Farah's offer to host the video for them and I said that they should definitely go for it. He had far more experience in doing that kind of thing than I do and he was ready to turn it around in less than 24 hours.

They told me that they had been able to get the video scheduled to be broadcast on several channels in Nevada and that they were working with Sinclair to get it broadcast on some of their 62 channels.

When I called the "Unfit to Lead" producers later in the day, they confirmed that Farah was going to put the pay-per-view video on his website. They thanked me for working with them to get the video out as fast as possible to as many people as possible.

This morning, the video was made available by WorldNetDaily. I have viewed the video and it is an excellent and devastating indictment of Kerry's war record. It features the veterans who served with him condemning his alleged record. It contains his former commander saying that if he had known then what he knows now about Kerry's service he would have recommended that Kerry be removed from the unit and from the Navy. The video also contains POWs testifying that John Kerry's own words were used against them by their brutal captors.

I recommend this video.

Look I am all for capitalism but our future is at stake here! Instead of trying to make a couple of bucks show it for free and collect donations!

Good work for getting it on anywhere at any price.

In all your talk with them, was there any discussion about Ohio. No Republican has been elected without Ohio in modern memory. But I don't see much action or alarm at the narrow polls. One even has Kerry up by six. So what's your take on Ohio?

Cripes, the most important election of our lives and you guys carp about paying $7.50.

The Swifties have been the most important force against Kerry's decades of lies and deception. If they need some money to stream a 30 minute film, pay it.

Or, go to their website and view past ads, all excellent and all true.

I'm not going to pay the $7.50 because the video won't affect my vote. What I would like is for someone on the fence to see it, but your average fence-sitter isn't going to pay $7.50 to watch a political ad. It's just plain dumb.

They spent a lot of money getting this made and broadcast on TV and Internet. It is NOT free to do any of that. I guess the Stolen Honor guys made what they needed to to recoup their costs and have now put their video online for free. The Unfit to Lead guys don't have that luxury, apparently.

So, pay the "dumb" (and paltry) $7.50 and show it to a fence-sitter or two. Invite a bunch of them over to your house and show it to them. This is a tool that you can use if you're willing.

Sheesh!
