Stupidity news: One of Kerry's electors in Ohio, Rep. Sherrod Brown, is a congressman. Unfortunately, the constitution forbids federal office holders from being electors. It is possible that if Kerry wins Ohio, Brown's right to cast an electoral vote will be challenged in court. Whoever picked a constitutionally ineligible elector needs to get his or her mental software ungraded to the latest release.

I don't see that on the site It's there all right (about 2/3 of the way down), although the website maintainer (who calls himself "the votemaster") neglected to provide a link of any kind.

The rogue twit says he will cast the vote for Cheney instead which will take one electoral vote away from Bush. Don't ask me how that works - my head is about to explode as it is.

If, for some reason, this twit broke a tie and switched it to Kerry...that man would have about 24 hours to live.

No doubt you will see the elector in question resign as an elector. Nothing I'm aware of prevents that. The Ohio Democratic Party will then replace them.

This eliminates the possibility of an electoral tie.

Dems now get 19 Electoral votes

There is a renegade elector in W. Virginia who says he won't cast his Republican vote for Bush...but for Kerry. That could be hairy.
To: daybreakcoming
----The rogue twit says he will cast the vote for Cheney instead which will take one electoral vote away from Bush.---- Blame the West Virginia GOP. They were the idiots who, when it came time to pick Bush electors, simply grabbed THE FIVE UNSUCCESSFUL REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES FOR THE GUBERNATORIAL NOMINATION, sight unseen, rather than good, solid party figures that they knew would be one hundred percent rock-solid for the president. That was so short-sighted, they practically invited the possibility of a rogue elector who couldn't get recognition any other way.
Here's the twit in question.

Well, when they picked Kerry's electors, they probably figured he wasn't gonna win anyway.

Isn't there a faithless WV elector for Bush? They cancel each other out, I guess.
