>> Gee, it looks so much more convincing on Bush than Kerry.
They BOTH seem like blatant photo-ops to me. Kerry goes hunting and (allegedly) kills a goose to court the gun owners vote, but has someone else carry the dead goose so he doesn't offend liberals with animal rights issues. Meanwhile, the Bush marketing board probably had a focus group to decide which brand of chainsaw was most presidential.
I understand candidates want to appeal to common people, but I don't think these guys are common people. A genuine appeal of this nature would be great, because that would mean we had a real person representing real Americans. If we're going to have elections between members of the ruling class, I'd prefer they were honest about it. The feigned attempts to curry favor with average voters seems dishonest to me.

Didn't learn much in one day on FR?
Where have you been? :
"Meanwhile, the Bush marketing board PROBABLY had a focus group to decide which brand of chainsaw was most presidential."
Like Kerry you are a negative critic and do not know what you are talking about!
You forgot to mention GW's "green" propane-fuel Ford PU
Passive-Solar Texas stone home
Deepwell recycled heat pump
Graywater recycling for irrigation
Enviro grass
- and a long long list more -
Compare John Kerry-Heinz:
"We and the Edwardes are (Heinz-Kerry still after a year on a WAITING LIST?) on a WAITING LIST for hybrid vehicles!"
(repeated in variations for over a year!)

GOOGLE, logic, research, thinking before posting are our friends.....
(Probably!)
You are a total moron. This is where the President lives and this is where he will return when he leaves office. You trolls are not good enough to shine his shoes. Go away.
I understand candidates want to appeal to common people, but I don't think these guys are common people.
You are partially correct.
John
Kerry is not "common people" by any stretch of the imagination.
President Bush is. He is good and decent from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. He is at ease in the company of kings or paupers. He radiates goodness.
This is the reason that the democrats, socilaists, mainstream media and the degenerates and perverts among those groups hate and despise him so.
Evil always hates good.
So who is your man in this election? Who are you voting for ???
To ALL Freepers and Lurker voters:
GO to the polls and vote for Bush. Take your friends with you to do the same. If you know any Zell Miller type Democrats that support Bush and they are voting for him, take them as well.
Vote EARLY to avoid the rush. If you wait until November 2nd, make SURE to go and vote!! And if you do wait until November 2nd, remember:
IGNORE ANYTHING IN THE MEDIA YOU HEAR (i.e., making a fast, early call in Florida for Kerry, etc.). WE CAN AVOID A REPEAT OF THE FLORIDA ELECTION DEBACLE OF 2000 THIS YEAR IF GOP TURNOUT IS STRONG, imho.
[Expletive deleted] !!!
Have a good day.
Yes, you're right. But of the two photo ops I like Bush's best.
You're wrong about GW not being 'real people'. Of course photo ops are part of the landscape. That's a given. Just look at why elitists loathe GW. It's because he won't nuance, compromise his principles and our safety. He means what he says and then does it. Liberals can't stand that. Way back when, GW went to Andover, an elitist Eastern prep school, where, by the way, he was said to be very unhappy and homesick for Texas. That's where his 'center' was and remains. Add to that recovery from alcoholism and the dedication to honesty and self examination that demands, and you can see why people trust him.
A few weeks ago, Mark Steyn wrote a great column comparing Kerry and his lifestyle to GW and his...and what the trappings showed. He finished with a statement about Kerry's living in six mansions while GW's home was a simple ranch in Crawford, Texas, where nobody would choose to live if they didn't love it. That says it all.
