Being a Red Sox fan takes a lot of hard work, not for the light hearted.
Yeah, like I'm sure you have no peer pressure not to root for anyone but the Red Sux... I mean, Sox. :)
But try being a New Yorker of the diaspora and rooting for the Yankees.

Since both jobs require sitting on my butt, the choice is easy.
BTW my comment is mean't to be a joke, Yankee fans have seen championships in every generation since the twenties. Many Sox fans have lived long lives and gone to their graves without seeing a championship.
Bottom line is we have suffered and had our hearts ripped out for 85 years. Try to be happy for us just this once. You can hate the Red Sox, but don't hate her fans.

The curse was they wouldn't win for 100 years.. since they did win in less than 100 years, that doesn't mean the curse is dead.. it means there was no curse and they just sucked for the past 80+ years.

It was the Lunar eclipse that broke the curse. This was the first total lunar eclipse during a World Series game since before the Big Bang!It was a Blood Moon, and an awesome sight!

Schilling tore A-Rod a new one. Called him "bush league", really ripped him up. I read on a Curt Schilling thread this morning that it was the interviewer who called A-Rod's stunt "bush league", and Curt corrected him, calling it "Kerry league"!! Gotta love Curt!

I have to say that the ALCS and NLCS were both great series. But that was the worst World Series I have ever seen. Boring. The Cards had a good team, but you would never know it by the way they played. The pitching was terrible, they walked themselves out of games 2 and 3. No game 5, now I'll have to watch Survivor tonight.

Historically, there is some precedent linking hardball sports to hardball politics. President Bush is the one with the most credibility when it comes to baseball. I just know he's gonna LOVE having the Red Sox to the White House to congratulate them on their stupendous victory, just after he's celebrated HIS!! ;o)
