Greetin's to Thee, Canteeners, Troops,
an' All th' Ships at Sea!
An' a cheery Top O' Th' Morning! t'all o' me friends, in this happy place of ours! Fiona is my name, such as ye already remember kindly, now, but sure an' there's those I've yet t'meet, this day.
An' Madam Bentfeather, first off, is our lovely hostess? But me eyes surely are mistaken - there's not a theme this day? Such a thing t'see! Why 'tis license for all manner of folk to be runnin' amok, t'be sure! An, d'ye not know th' time o'year, this is? Why, 'tis th' time for all manner of me more disreputable kinfolk t'be plaguin' th' countryside wi' dastardly pranks, an' all. But, th' wee lads an' lasses all enjoy this time, an' none moreso than me own Sarge, who marked his 42nd birthday yestereve!
(Now, Madam, was that not a wicked thing to say abou' me Sarge, hahaha!)
But now, see what we have, in th' way of glad tidings!! Friend Star, a new mother at last! An' th' dear sweet wee one, one Jacob Matthew, by name, such a joyful day! An' why fancy - th' wee lad shares th' birthday wi' Sarge, an' all! May all th' blessings I have in me poor power flow t'ye, Star, an' all good luck be bestowed upon ye! An' praps, a bit o' me crock o' gold, as well - that is, what I've not been a-spendin' on me Sarge, at least, hahaha!
Well, I'll be sayin' Good Mornin' t'all here, an' I shall come a-poppin' in an' ou' through th' course o' th' day!

An' there's th' grand lady, herself! Good Mornin' t'ye, Madam! My an' you're looking rather th' daughter o' th' Auld Sod, surely!Oh, an' one wee thing: Sarge, th' dear sweet man that he is, might not be showin' himself in th' Canteen for a bit, as he's gettin' things ready for his school trip, once again. But not to worry, for th' dear man will return, t'be sure.
But for th' meantime, 'tis always me pleasure in takin' th' time for a perch an' a jabber wi' all me friends! So what say ye, Madam, to a cuppa an' a good gab!
