" Kerry is going to look like the idiot he is."

- By tomorrow, the Russians will have denied the story leaving us back at square one. After that, the only way to advance the story would be for the Pentagon to release the satellite photo's of the trucks at the compound going toward Syria. But it will be impossible to prove that they were driven by Russians. I don't see that part of the story going anywhere, short of an admission by Putin that it is true, which is not likely.

If the Russians took these explosives, I wouldn't assume they were helping Saddam by doing so. More likely, they were helping themselves.

That would be the "Mother of all October Suprises"

Actually would be a very Russian stunt to pull.

They sell the Iraqi's weapons, make money.
They remove the weapons from Iraq for "safekeeping" as war looms.
They watch US and the allies go into Iraq, stumble around a little, but eventually get things right and rebuild the area.
They then explain this, winning big points with W by helping him out in an election, and they make themselves look like friggin peacemakers for removing the WMD's.( Which the "old Soviet regime" cough cough sold to Saddam, yeah right)
Then the Russians come back in January for the contracts in Iraq.

Brilliant!
They end up getting paid several times over, keep their weapons outta nut-job hands, stay away from the fighting, and come out looking like "reasonable Europeans" in diplo-speak.

I'm not convinced the stuff ended up in Russia... they may still be in Syria. I could be wrong if we were looking the other way.

If I understand this correctly, the Administration was protecting the Russians and the world community from this disclosure, and the pettiness and stupidity of John Kerry forced the declassification?

So, we can tag Kerry as over his head and with interfering with the delicacy of the US-Russian relationship?

It means it's us against almost the entire world. We have a few allies, like the Brits and the Aussies, but most of the rest are after us, like the pack goes after the dog with the biggest bone.

I hope this is story gets legs, but the Rats won't change their tune, too late for that now. They will claim this Syria story is all a Bush/Rove trick. The Rats have nothing else.

Holy "finding out where WMD's went". I think Comrade Putin has some serious splainin' to do.

The funny thing in this developing story is that John F'ng and his MSM followers are the ones who helped make this such a big issue.

Hey sKerry, thanks in advance for swinging public opinion completely towards the president by confirming that going into Iraq was indeed the right thing to do in making America safer.

btw...I'm watching Scarborborough and Dee Dee Myers is out there stating "The important thing is that 380 tons of explosives are missing". Guess what Dee Dee, Saddam had his WMD's shipped to Syria. I guess you'll find out in the morning. Many thanks for keeping this such a hot issue 6 days before the election.

Gertz's Washington Times article is devastating, particularly the last paragraph:

Defense officials said the Russians can provide information on what happened to the Iraqi weapons and explosives that were transported out of the country. Officials believe the Russians also can explain what happened to Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs.
