Wait a minute -- so there were WMDs in Iraq? The Kerry campaign, the media, assorted pundits, and others are making much of the disappearance of the 380 tons of explosives from the al Qaqaa storage facility south of Baghdad. According to the IAEA, the U.N. watchdog agency now apparently in the service of the Democratic National Committee, some of the explosives could be used to detonate nuclear weapons. Wow nuclear-weapon components were in Iraq? Shouldn't the headline be, "Saddam Had 'Em?"

Yep. 380 tons of high explosive can disappear without a trace. But since we can't find WMDs, there is no chance the same thing happened to them.
That's a liberal for you.

Bush could say, "We don't know where the 380 tons are, or whether they were still there when our troops arrived, but I know one thing: we've destroyed or impounded 400,000 tons of Saddam's weaponry, and that's 400,000 more tons than would have been destroyed if John Kerry had his way."

You're the first person I've heard make that point, and it's a reasonable one. If this stuff could have disappeared, why couldn't the WMD's have disappeared as well?

Amazing, isn't it? Do we see any honest Dems stopping their spin for a moment and thinking, "Gee, tons of that stuff disappeared and we haven't found it in well over a year. Maybe Saddam did the same to his WMDs..."
If we had enough Dems like that, this would be a fair and meaningful election with a real choice.
