Update from PA - Governor (Fast)Eddie Rendell has put out a 9 page directive on how the voting rights of those in jail(not YET convicted) must not be violated. This is in sharp contrast to his lack of concern in extending the acceptance deadline to our SOLDIERS for their absentee ballots which were mailed late due to the Nader Litigation.
Senator Santorum and Rep Curt Weldon are leading the charge on this but I am asking all other Freepers and Freeper Veterans to stand up for the Voting Rights of our brothers and sisters serving our country around the world. Their will be a Protest on 10/27 at 2 PM in front of the Bellevue Hotel, Broad and Walnut Streets in CC Philadelphia. Congressman Curt Weldon and talkshow host Dom (da' Man) Giordano and others will be in attendance.
LIVE FREEp or DIE!
What this turd is not saying is that he will only count the ballots that arrive by 11/2. Some of these ballots will not arrive stateside until December because they were only mailed on 10/21 but were requested months ago.

BUMP!
"Just last week the U.S. District Court ruled that all military and overseas absentee voters will have ample time to complete and return their ballots and their votes will be counted. As Judge Yvette Kane noted in her decision"
This a load of crap, based on the 2000 election we know that it will take several weeks for a Military Abs Ballot to to make the round trip. Judge Yvette has been drinking the Clinton KOOLAIDE
Thanks freetrader
Okay , everybody, let's let the sucker (Gov. PA - suppressing military vote) know we won't let them get away with disenfranchising our military vote again
No ONE vote, damnit!
He's suppressing the military vote.
Take a wild guess
(gotta love that you have to give everything but blood type to sent an email to them. The better to get you on a list for future deportation to the gulag? (not that I give such people my true stats...just whatever will keep the computer happy enough to get in)
Mr. Rendell...
Your blatant suppression of the military vote will bite you in the rear end one day - sooner the better.
It was bad enough last election - but with our troops in harms way today - this is not a good move. It will be remembered.
What do you see when you look in the mirror in the morning? (Besides a traitor?)
You must not believe in God, for if you did, you would know that "as ye do unto others..." is not an empty admonition.
And when you look in the mirror, better watch over your shoulder, for the justice that will be metered out will be coming from on high...far better than we could ever mete out. Not that we wont do our part to thwart your criminal act.
With all due respect - and ONLY what's due...with a DIS in front.
That's profound. Thank you again you "fiscally conservative" Rendell Republicans.

"these ballots will be counted in accordance with law for the November 2nd General Election. No one will be denied the right to vote nor will their ballot not count if it is received by the appropriate deadline. Absentee ballots with votes for the entire statewide slate of candidates will be accepted until October 29th. Ballots that come in after October 29th will be counted, only for the office of President, through Election Day. (unquote)
************ There is NO way possible for the mail to get TO the troops and returned before election day...they know it, they know we know it, they need to be thrown out of office. there should be some way to charge them with deliberate disenfranchisement of vote? And therein lies the cancellation of thousands of military votes.
by "express mail" - Oh yeah, got lots of little Express mail trucks running around in Iraq. It can take weeks for mail to get to the individual troops...and they know this.
This is so in-your-face blatant. (translate, criminal)
Notice they didn't follow any "law" regarding a date by which all absentee ballots had to be be mailed out in order to allow for return time! Very handy - that can be used forever and anon - and indeed has been.
Ever read about how the military vote was suppressed in Florida for decades thru mail delay scams?
Was just on the phone to Fast Eddie's office. First the obligatory taped message - the governor is committed...blah, blah, blah. I waited for a live voice.
I let him have it. Told them it was shameful, despicable, unbelievable, that our beloved troops votes were NOT going to count, because there was NO WAY they could get them back in time.
He of course, reassured me, that the troops votes will be counted, IF they arrive in time - Catch 22 time - and that they were sent out on time. I challenged WHY wouldn't Rendell give them the same benefit of time he gave in April. He said the governor doesn't have that authority. I said he could issue an executive order, go to court on behalf of our troops, WHATEVER IT TAKES.
He thanked me for my call, and said my concern was duly noted. Hrmphhhhhhh.
While I do think it is wonderful for each of you to be concerned about the US troops overseas, I challenge you to keep looking. Yes, they are serving the United States fully and completely. Yes, they deserve the right to vote. Yes, this is being taken away. But they are not the only ones! There are many of us, US citizens, living overseas similarly being denied the right to vote! HELP!!!
