For Catholics - EWTN - Father Corapi's Political Program - "Wake Up America"
EWTN Program ^ | 10/25/2004 | Father John Corapi

Posted on 10/26/2004 8:50:32 PM PDT by ThyWillBeDone

Father John Corapi gave a talk "Wake Up, America!" on cable network EWTN which will be replayed on EWTN in North America on 10/27/2004, at 3:00 AM, EST, and again on Friday, 11:00 PM EST. This is a very fiery pro-life speech discussing the upcoming presidential election and politicians. He even refers at one point to "Senator Catholic", and why it is wrong to vote for such people, and also discusses the obligations of Catholic Bishops and Priests regarding Catholic politicians like Kerry who promote abortions.

He delivers this speach in a fiery way, like the Old Testament prophets must have done to various kings in Israel and to the children of Israel. Believe me, he boldly pulls no punches.

Bio on Father Corapi:

In High School, he was at a small school with a tough coach. He was not very big, but played football. It was a class B team that beat a class AAAA team to win state in New York.

After graduation from high school, he trained very intensely for six months -- to enter the army with the goal of becoming a Ranger.

He was with Special Forces in Vietnam.

When he returned from Vietnam, he became a CPA, went to Las Vegas, and made lots of money.

Eventually, he was with the in crowd in Hollywood.

One night, a young actress took Father Corapi (then just John Corapi) to a room and introduced him to her friend -- cocaine.

He became addicted to drugs, lost everything, and became homeless.

Then he had a conversion where he turned back to his Catholic faith.

After telling a good priest all his sins of Hollywood and Los Vegas and before, he told that priest at the end of that confession that he felt he was called to the priesthood.

The priest did give him absolution, but was stupified that John Corapi would become a priest.

Not only did Father Corapi became a priest, but he was ordained by Pope John Paul II, and is a Doctor of Canon Law.

A few years ago, he went to the wrong hospital in California where they ran tests, and claimed he was very ill -- needed a triple or quadruple bypass for his heart.

Turns out, he had some meeting with Army/Pentagon types, and opted out of any surgery.

He then obtained a second opinion, which showed that this 50+ year old man to be in excellent condition -- no blockage in the heart at all.

After the cow manure hit the fan because of the corruption found at this hospital (in California), the stock of a certain Health Insurance dropped by either 30 billion or 3 billion (dollars) in value in just a few days (I think it was 30 billion, but can't remember). The corruption was in terms of fraud performed in terms of unnecessary surgeries and charging the government for them.

He has had to fend off Private Investigators since then...

He hunts black bear in Montana -- and he is still pretty good with guns. I guess special forces types don't lose the touch -- even if they are priests (which is bad for Private Investigators who try to snoop on him in Montana).

Vatican = talk tough; do nothing

Note that the Catholic Church is the one that is the leader in the Pro-Life fight -- though a handful of Evangelicals contribute.

Most prayer watches/sidewalk counseling is done by Catholics. The other half of the Christians are missing in action.

I don't see any truth in Vatican = talk tough; do nothing.

The latter phrase is more appropriate for the anti-Catholic Catholic John Kerry.

The Holy See very clearly teaches that the promotion of abortion is sinful . . . John Kerry promotes abortion and uses his legislative powers to reinforce its tyranny upon our country . . .

. . . the Vatican does NOTHING to Kerry. And when someone raises the possibility that Kerry may have excommunicated himself by his actions and teaching, the Vatican scrambles to announce: "We never said THAT!"

Vatican = talk tough; do nothing.
