Swiftvet TV special to air election eve Show hosted by John O'Neill slated for Florida markets

Building on its nine-ad campaign, Swift Boat Veterans and POWs for Truth is featured in a half-hour television special that will air in key Florida markets on the eve of the election.
Titled "Unfit to Lead," the program is hosted by swiftboat vet spokesman John O'Neill and includes some of the men whose testimonies about John Kerry were heard in the advertisements played in battleground states.
The TV program is based largely on the group's New York Times No. 1 best-seller "Unfit for Command," which challenges John Kerry's account of his war record and his anti-war activities.
A non-profit Florida group, Campaign Truth, is distributing the show on DVD and purchasing air time in the state this weekend.
Stations and broadcast times will be announced by tomorrow.
In the special, one of Kerry's former superior officers, Capt. George Elliott, says he believes Kerry should have been removed from command.
Elliott was commander of Coastal Division 11, where Kerry spent his four months of active duty in Vietnam.
"If I knew then what I know now, he would have been thrown out of my command and probably recommended for removal from the Navy," Elliott says of Kerry.
Steve Gardner, who served as a gunner on a swift boat under Kerry's command, says Kerry could have been court-martial if the chain of command knew then what it knows now.
The special, which took three weeks to produce, was organized by a group of Florida residents who, while waiting out Hurricane Frances, noticed the numerous TV ads for John Kerry that ran with no response.

ABSOLUTELY SWEET. I only wish it would shown nationwide. Hopefully it will break Kerry's back in Florida. Too bad it won't be on in any other battleground states. I wonder if there's still time to do it?

These guys are HEROES. However, airing a special like that on election eve, would automatically fall in the category of SLEAZE in the minds of many, especially the ones who are struggling which way to go.
Secondly, F'ing may use this 'special' as grounds for retaliating with his own attack. He would justify his sleazy attack as only a response.
The difference is that Swift-Vets are NOT sleazy and F'ing and company are and they would launch a false attack in response.

Air it Sunday night or certainly BEFORE people vote. It's too late after a vote has been cast for jer* o** Kerry.
I think it should be playing in Ohio, PA, FLorida, IA, MN. WISC, NM and NV.
Has a lot to do with money. Gave my third and last contribution today.
This MUST be shown in more than just Florida. Every battleground state should have airtime purchased on major stations. There has been lots of money donated to the Swifties, I've sent money myself. Hopefully, they will make an announcement for other states, as well.
Sunday night would have a greater impact. Mon Night Football will just drown it out. Maybe Election eve is Sunday too?

That's what I was thinking. I thought Friday night would be better. No World Series game. No NCAA football or NFL. Ammunition for the Republicans to fight Kerry with over the weekend.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Republicans are waging a "nice campaign" this year. Skip my idea. Show it late Monday night so Republicans don't have to discuss it or defend it.

I'd say it should knock at least 3 off Kerry-Edwards.
And they have their story to tell, too. I don't think there is ANY way the truth in what SwiftBoat Vets/POWS have to say can be perceived as sleaze by anyone, anywhere!!!!!
Let them try! After these guys lay it all out, uninterrupted by the likes of Limp & Lame Little Larry O'Donnell, one would have to be brain dead/damaged to even try................but I'd like to see it......weapons of self-destruction are always fun to watch, right Little Larry???????
