YET ANOTHER SERVICEMAN REFUTES THE TIMES ACCOUNT [10/26 05:23 PM]

From yet another Kerry Spot reader with a ".mil" e-mail address:

You are correct in your bottom line conclusion. Here is a second follow up. I was serving as a [identifying information removed by the Kerry Spot] staff member during the time in question. The Commander on the site had complete real time intelligence on what to expect and possibly find at the Al-QaQaa depot. The ordinance in question was not found when teams were sent in to inspect and secure the area. When this information was relayed, Operational plans were adjusted and the unit moved forward. Had the ordinance in question been discovered, a security team would have been left in place.

Maybe someone can answer this for me: Why on earth did the U.N. allow Saddam to stockpile 380 tons of explosives, some that could be used to detonate nuclear weapons? Has anybody in the media bothered to ask that question?

I'd be thrilled if Bush showed HALF the enthusiasm and energy over this story that Rush showed today.

Exactly. If he as President, castigated the NYT, CBS, and the Kerry campaign adn read the riot act, he would gave America doing a double-take and voting his way.

Although I have never posted, I have followed this forum for many years. This is the first time that I have been overwhelmed by the need to vent, and believe me, I have been close quite a few times.

Pushforbush, you have expressed my sentiments exactly.

G.W. and the home team are using knives in a gun fight. The response time to very easily refuted accusations are painfully slow. By the time the Bush team gets around to responding to a totally fabricated attack, there is another attack to respond to and the effect of his response to the previous one is completely diminished.

I don't care how many talking heads come to the rescue and make the case for Bush, there is nothing like hearing it from the horses mouth.

Kerry has been able to accuse Bush of being incompetent, a liar and a draft dodger with impunity.

The Bush responses remain the same. Kerry is a flip-flopper with no moral conviction.

In my opinion, the only serious damage being done to Kerry are what he and his wife are doing to themselves.

Thank God for the Swift Boat Vets.Without them, I think that our situation could possibly be in extremely dire straits.

I am sorry that my first post is such a pessimistic one, but I have never seen such a coordinated effort by all that oppose us, willing to do or say anything to win.

I pray that they do not prevail.

Take Care,
Buddy M

... hopefully include dates of briefings for the Senate Intel committee.

And don't forget to prove that both Kerry and Edwards were absent from that meeting.

Not a one of the MSM has bothered a whit about the UN nor the IAEA;however,I bet you can answer your own question. What with the Oil for Food scandal (nothing at all "new" behavior for the UN!),more and more people don't "need" the MSM to tell them what has and is going on,with EVERY damned UN program.

Tony Snow said that Saddam had 600,000 tons of weapons, ammo, explosives, etc., and that the U.S. has found about 40% of that. As you said, the UN and the IAEA was looking the other way. I'm wondering how much money el Baradai (sp?) made off his cooperation with Saddam.

Oh for crying out loud! You haven't a clue and your doom&gloom rant is senseless.President Bush and his team know what they're doing.Just because it isn't what YOU would do,doesn't prove that they are doing it wrongheadedly.

Letting the media, and yes,the media IS disproving this story, except for what's being shown on cBS,is brilliant.FNC has been screaming about this all day and night, they've been connecting the same dots as FREEPERS have, tying the N.Y.Times with cBS (and with RATHERGATE!)and with Kerry! All of talk radio has been hammering away at this too,as has Drudge.

Just how many gubernatorial races and presidential races have YOU run and won? NONE?

How many such races has President Bush won? 'Nough said.

No,YOU "face it"...hardly anybody watches cBS,NBC burst the lie bubble,FNC is ALL over this, exposing the lie and the MSM anti-Bush media, and talk radio has been screaming about this ALL day! If this garbage is all the DNC/Kerry/MSM has, there'll still be a Bush landslide.

With all due respect, you are deluded. Per the data on Drudge tonight, less than 3 million people watch Hannity and Colmes or O'Reilly. Even less watch Brit Hume because when he's on, most people in the country are still at work or driving home.

More than ten times as many people watch the big three network news programs, and most of them don't watch any other news. That's just a fact.

It is likely that more people read the Washington Post, the NY Times, Boston Globe, Baltimore Sun, the Atlanta Journal/Constitution, and the LA Times than all of the other newspapers combined, much less the few conservative newspapers - the Washington Times, the Boston Herald and the NY Post.

That's a fact. That's what we are up against. To sit there and think that everyone sees what is on Fox News, is, sorry, delusional.

Am watching too. :-)

El Baradai made a fortune from his dealings with Saddam and let this lie lose, because he's unhappy that the USA took his free money source away.It the same old thing with France and Germany and Russian and China and everyone else who made gobs of money this way.

Few Americans trust or like the UN and many long ago shut off the major 3 networks.

Remember too, that they didn't respond to the Rathergate/CBS fiasco either, and that turned out to be the correct action. Now Dan Rather and the New York Times have tried their bluff with a second card, and the Bush team is holding their aces, merely calling. When they play their cards, it will be to win.

And who sold it to them is another question I haven't seen asked.

I have my suspicions.

With all due respect,CBSNBCABC has lost more than 1/2 of their news viewership over the past decade, even damed DEMS listen to CONSERVATIVE talk radio now,the N.Y.Post has a far larger readership (hard copy AND on-line!)than the Washington Post and the L.A.Times combined, and the N.Y.Times is no longer the "paper of record",no matter how many times they claim that they are.

Do you know what the N.Y. Post's readership figures are? I suggest that you go look it up...it's on line at their site.

Every program,on FNC,is repeated, some more than once, later in the evening.

The L.A.Times,FYI,ran with THIS IS A LIE,re this story today.

So did the Washington Post!

And the Boston Globe,Baltimore Sun (who the bloody hell reads THAT paper outside of that area? LOL),the Atlanta Constipated Urinal (you've just got to be kidding with this one!),and the Washington Post are purely LOCAL papers, which the N.Y. Post handily beats out in their now outside N.Y. outlets! Conn.,Jersey,Florida,California,to name but a few,now sells and has HOME DELIVERY of the N.Y. Post!

These ARE the facts, which unfortunately,it appears you know nothing of.

I understand a tatement was made, and video gotten showing what nbc's agent who was there, said at the time, refuting this.

Well .. seems now NBC is saying the video and the reporter at the scene (Dana Lewis) are lying

The President does not play "gotcha" he's said as much in the past and I take him at his word.I personally would like to see him use the other L word on Kerry LIAR.There's plenty of evidence to back this up but Bush probably believes the President should rise above this type of down and dirty street fight.I could explain why his personal likability numbers have been stayed above Kerrys since day one.

With all due respect,CBSNBCABC has lost more than 1/2 of their news viewership over the past decade,

And they still have more than ten times the viewership as FNC. Get real. There are still millions of homes that don't get cable, which means they don't get FNC.

Do you know what the N.Y. Post's readership figures are? I suggest that you go look it up...it's on line at their site.

Their circulation is about 678,000, which is still less than the NY Daily News, for crying out loud, much less the NY Times (1.677 million), which has circulation all across the country.

I suggest that you look at:

http://www.accessabc.com/reader/top100.htm

This site lists the top 150 newspapers across the country. Perhaps you might get a clue as to what we are up against.

As I said I mean no disrespect, but you seem to be living in a bubble - FR, Fox News, Rush, Hannity and Colmes, etc.. You should perhaps realize that the vast majority of voters in this country are not in that bubble. They don't even know that it exists.

The President has answered Tora Bora - and so has Tommy Franks.

The President didn't need to "respond" on this because the PENTAGON already did.
