Read this opinion from SF Making a Dent in Liberal Disinformation: Political Signs
"You wont find a Bush bumper sticker on my vehicles or a sign in my yard, however. I see a lot of Kerry stickers and signs but few for Bush. True, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so a substantial Democratic majority is to be expected. But the last poll numbers for California I saw had Kerry at 49% and Bush at 46% in mid-August (although this reflects the varied demographics of Cal-ee-fornia). I would say the signage is 10-1 from my unscientific tally. Why the disparity when there is arguably only a small difference in the number of voters supporting each candidate?"

His third reason is the reason I suspect to be the most significant as well:
Fear. A number of people Ive talked to are afraid of putting a Bush sticker on their car because they worry that it will attract vandalism. The same with yard signs.Indeed. I was born and raised in Santa Cruz and I'm all too familiar with the intolerance of the left.
