Well, this should make some Bush supporters stay home. Or at least the NY Times/Kerry campaign hope so.
And keep other Bush supporters from staying home.
I don't believe this. The NYT is really going full boar trying to smear the President.
I gotta think he's just pandering for the moderates or something. I'm disappointed, he needs to cater to his BASE.
He just lost my vote. Oh wait, I already voted. Nice try NYT.
If this makes supporters of the President stay home it would be quite frankly stupid and petty. Social issues are like it or not at the periphery in this election and staying home is just as good as voting for Sen. Kerry and an agenda, which is in effect bolstering a position on social issues that couldn't be further from those positions held by opponets of Gay marriage and civil unions for homosexuals. My word to those who fly off the handle on this one, wise up.
Yup. I can't wait to read the 100+ replies (It's only just after 6am here so y'all have a head start on we westerners) and see who the easy patsies are.
No. This still supports the definition and legalities of
marriage between a man and a woman, and protects the
government from having to provide benefits. He is asserting
states rights, which is not a bad thing.
