Kerry wants answers on missing explosives
PORTSMOUTH, New Hampshire (AFP) - Democrat challenger John Kerry's campaign Monday demanded answers from President George W. Bush about the disappearance of nearly 400 tonnes of conventional explosives in Iraq, as the deadlocked White House race entered its final week. In a campaign underpinned by the basic question of who will make Americans safer, the Kerry camp pounced on revelations of the missing explosives, on a day when it also expects a boost from the return of former president Bill Clinton to the campaign trail.
"Today, the Bush administration must answer for what may be the most grave and catastrophic mistake in a tragic series of blunders in Iraq," senior Kerry advisor Joe Lockhart said in a statement dispatched before sunrise.
"How did they fail to secure nearly 380 tons of known, deadly explosives despite clear warnings from the International Atomic Energy Agency to do so? Why was this information unearthed by reporters -- and was it covered up by our national security officials?"
I'm listening to Monsieur Kerre talk about this with Chris Matthews.
Man - he's such an idiot!
This is too much fun...
ABC middle of the night news show leads with their poll showing Kerry up one over Bush, and then what else? Clinton saying he was the comeback kid. (rather haggard looking "kid", if you ask me.)
(Clinton will be in Colorado and New Mexico at the end of the week)
Terry Moran report on Bush with Guiliani, and Moran says every stop mentions 9-ll.
And then this:
"it's not clear when the explosives were removed, they were there when the UN last inspected in March", says the female ABC anchorette". This gives no mention, certainly not any credibility to NBC's Jim Miklashevski's report that the explosives were already gone when the 101st got there.
Years ago, when I would wake up in the middle of the night, I would watch things like ABC News Now, as it was called, with Aaron Brown. He was actually cleaver and funny and, in some cases, revolutionary. Now they are not much better than the info-mercials that try to sell knives that can cut tomatoes and aluminum cans.
I think Aaron Brown was the heir apparent to "Petah" but CNN put the Peter Principle curse on him and the rest is history.
TCM is running some old Frankenstein movies. Why does my brain remember Basil Rathbone?
While he's at it, maybe he can give some answers on his missing military records and his wife's missing tax returns. And his missing war diary. And his missing Senate record.
And a missing "SANE" wife.
It's really sad though that we need a reporter to prove it's true
What do you mean, sad? It's a major victory. The Lamestream media had to tell the truth ONCE this election cycle.
Ah ah ah wasnt sKerry on the Intelligence Committee when they turned up missing? Why oh why didnt he know about it then? Pahlease, oh yeah thats right he never went to the meetings........
I hope GW makes light of this on national TV.

And they say BUSH doesn't read the pepers!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHH

Yep my thoughts exactly. Answers coming right up. Might want to consider your source Mr Kerry.
