Flipped would still mean Kerry and Bush in blue states..:) But I see your point..:)
Good observation.
Nobody in FL?
You are exactly right! I appreiciate your post because this is one of the key indicators of the election. Bush is cornering Kerry just like he's whooping the terroist: He's on offense! Kerry's on defense.
i keep hearing bad news for BUsh that he isnt ahead "enough" in the polls
God please tell me that the internals have Bush up HUGE
i also heard that Bush was far behind in early voting
Yep. Something tells me if Kerry were REALLY ahead, he'd be spending most of his time the last week of the campaign trying to go to as many Red States as possible. Instead, he's STILL playing defense. If he has to defend what he should have already locked down, bottom line - this is not a candidate who's set to win next week folks.
Where in PA?
Wow can't believe MI. Too bad HI is so far away or I'm sure GWB would be there 2.
the internals must show that dems aint impressed with kerry. my guess is that wisconsin will decide this:
so let's bury kerry in the land of dairy.
Let's add this up shall we?
MN=10
NM=5
NV=5
WI=10
IA=7
Total=37 electoral votes
Throw in Hawaii's 4 and that brings the total to 41
It's just like Rush said. Kerry's campaigning in states that he should have a lock on. If I was advising the Bush campaign I'd schedule Bush for rallies deep in the heart of MA, NY, IL, and CA. It's time Bush bring down the gauntlet.
Pity the red states Bush is having to nail bite over (other than NH which is apparently gone for Bush), are so large, i.e. Florida and Ohio. If he loses both, Bush is in the morgue, having previously assumed room temperature. If he loses Florida, he is in the intensive card ward. If he loses Ohio, he has a foot race with Kerry, with Bush having to wait one second after Kerry to start the race.
Well it isn't like NM, IA, Wisc, MN were blue states by huge margins and Kerry has blown it. Those states aren't really blue states...they are BATTLEGROUND states. If Kerry WASN'T there I'd think he was having serious problems. The fact that he is there means he realizes it was too close in 2000 and he's wanting to try to take them this time.
Now Michigan and Hawaii spells huge trouble for Kerry. If Kerry were to go to Michigan we'd know he was tanking big time. I still think he will tank but not because he's hitting states Gore won by a few dozen votes.
No it means that Bush has given up on FL, OH, MO. </sarcasm>
I'm worried about W being in CO recently. Is he in any real danger of losing there? I hope not.
I think Rush brought up a similar point today in asking why Clinton was stumping for Kerry in Philadelphia. Shouldn't a place like Philly be sewn up a week before the election. Union people and blacks --- dems base --- why are they spending the last precious moments of a campaign trying to shore up democratic strongholds?
Kerry is trying to draw to an inside straight. He has to take all the blue states AND Ohio or Florida. If, as seems likely in the Midwest, he loses blue states, he has to take them both, almost impossible.
I don't put too much stock in Exit Polling!
