when the th FRech turned their backs on us on the onset of the war I did two '"protest "things.
I gave away all my French wine (and Ihad a lot.. good winecellar) and stopped using L'Oreal, my hair product of 30+ years. Will it hurt them? of course not. but I feel better.
I don+'t think I have been to a french movie for a LONG time..but Tripletts was a delight. I did considr the boycott thingie.. But as a cyclist & movie addict.. I did chose to see it & am glad I did. Will also buy the DVD. The movie rather attacks some aspects of French culture etc..
Won't be heading to KY until Friday.
OH my! Thank you, Mol......and all.
DrDeb - you are so right re: every vote. But I just want to know what the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is doing about the OUTRAGE OF VOTER FRAUD that is taking place already on such a massive scale? We cannot just hope our voter turnout will over come the fraud. This Fraud - like 60,000 people apparenntly being registered in both North and South Carolins - negates the votes of many broken glass Republicans. Tens of thousands of pro-President Bush votes are being totally negated by this massive voter fraud along with even voter intimidation in some states against those voting early.
WHAT IS THE PRESIDENT / FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DOING ABOUT THESE ILLEGALITIES THAT TAKE AWAY THE VOTES OF TENS OF THOUSANDS OF LEGITIMATE VOTERS???
We usually post the Dose Monday - Friday. Campaign season brings presidential travels and photos from the weekend. Sometimes one of the five benevolent "Sanity Island Governors" (as dubbed by The Pythonic Cow) will do a weekend edition; if not, some or most of the weekend photos show up on Monday.
All that is to say if you don't see a Dose on Saturday or Sunday, it's the norm.
I LOVE mangos! If I eat more two or three bites I get hives though. The ones sold in Washington aren't known for being very stringy; I don't know where they are grown.
Thank YOU, Freedom'sWorthIt. My wrists do feel it by the time I gather all the photos from the weekend, so I've learned to start collecting 'em on Sunday.
I like the lurker peanut stand comment. Reminds me of carefree times spent watching the Howdy Doody crowd. (To you young'uns, that was a children's TV show in the wayback days.)
Were you lurking when mystery_ak's husband, mike1sg, was posted to Iraq and they talked online at the Dose?
Snugs, here's a link to listen to Rush online:

God bless you for your prayers, ozb'kin. Even though you can't mark a ballot here, you CAN and are influencing the election through your prayers. I'm so grateful you and others around the world are joining in this vigil.
Thank you for the good wishes and cute graphics. And yes I know it is hard work to do the "dose" and your hard work is greatly appreaciated. And, yes, I am old enough to remember Howdy Doody, Mr. Green Jeans, and Captain Kangaroo and all that early TV crowd of lovely shows. Oh those times were the good times in this country.
"I'm doing okay!"
LOL, glad to hear it. I couldn't really think how to phrase it right, when Koch was first mayor he used to rhetorically ask people "How am I doing?"
Wow - you ladies are up LATE!!!
Hopefully we will allget some good night's rest after GWB's "re-appointment" :)
LOVE that picture of Cheney in jeans. Wow.
