Wouldn't this be considered a bit of a slap against Kerry? Sorry, but I am unfamiliar with this newspaper's political leanings.

They wouldn't endorse Bush and can't bring themselves to hold their nose long enough to endorse Kerry. Maybe their scruples are just a bit above the NYT.

Excellent! The cowards took the easy way out.

The country is facing real threats and dire problems, neither of the candidates is remotely close to perfect, every vote counts...

...and they decide to pass.

It could be. Considering Detroit's heavy Muslim population, you'd think this newspaper would out and out endorse Kerry.
