B.J. Burkett on C-Span today (from last Thursday) said that within the next few days he expects some big news about Kerry's war record - maybe release of a letter which separated him from the service before he was granted his "honorable discharge" years later - that's the October surprise I'm waiting for......

'And just thought of him clenching his fist and shouting "ROVE!" like Kirk yelled "KHAAAN!"'

Or Seinfeld angrily saying thru his teeth..."NEWMAN!"

Anything either side throws out from this day till election time will be considered just the other side taking a swipe at the other.

You are absolutely correct, last minute theatrics.

"Some are saying it is down to who gets out the vote best."

That's exactly what it comes down to. Anyone intending to vote knows who they're going to vote for. If there are any undecided's left then they must have just thawed out from a cryonic deep freeze.

The ONLY places this will get any kind of traction is with the tin hat crowds at MoveOn.org, all the DUmmies and their surrogate trolls who lurk here.

This morning I awoke to the news that insurgents had shot over fifty newly trained Iraqi National Guardsmen. Made them lay face down in the dirt and shot them point blank in the back of the head. THIS is the kind of thing the American people are paying attention to.

A bunch of explosives missing in the heat of war isn't going to get any traction. Some Dem must have spent last weekend poring over the fine print in all military documentation and came up with this old factoid.

These are CONVENTIONAL explosives, not NUCLEAR.

Could someone please explain to me why this is a "story?"

I thought most of the IEDs were simply artillery shells rigged to blow; are IEDs made from these explosives any more deadly?

This looks like nothing more that a crudely concocted hit piece by a desperate editorial staff at the NYSlimes.

U.S. Forces wanted to remove 500 tons of Uranium and the I.A.E.A. wouldn't let them. Check out the May article:

San Diego Union Tribune

excerpt: "However, the International Atomic Energy Agency has taken the position that the uranium is Iraqi property and the agency "cannot give them permission to remove it," a diplomat said."

Bush bashing? So nuclear grade explosives hurts Bush

Where do you get nuclear grade explosives out of this? Its a Saddam munition dump that we left unguarded in the early days following our victory over Saddam. How does that hurt Kerry? It doesnt. This is a hit piece on Bush.
