A moratorium on new signups is a good idea."

Perhaps we could put together a theme song to go with it. Something like "The Free Republic is not free. It costs $1.05"

What's been covered up has been John Kerry's military records and Teresa's tax records. The information contained in those documents would fill front pages of papers-- even liberal ones-- for months.

jmstein is doing the right thing, keeping everyone from losing their heads. I wouldn't have gone to sleep without some reassurance.

I still think the Swift Boat Vets have something on Kerry.

October Surprise--- The Kerry Campaign rolls out heavy hitters Rosie O’Donnell and Cher to undermine the Bush campaign. Surprise!!!

Yeah, and what a crock it is. It would have taken every military troop in the US, Russia and China to "guard" all the ammo dumps in Iraq. And those are just the ones we could find.

Saddam hid weapons everywhere.

You got it! We're smarter AND better looking!

I tried to get this thread pulled, too.

"The "Regulars" around here should all start hitting "abuse" and getting the mods to pull these. A moratorium on new signups is a good idea."

There will be upwards of 3,000 new FReepers signing up in the next 10 days or so and 90% of them will be good solid conservatives. That's more than signed up in our entire first year. No way will I turn them away in fear of a few liberal troll accounts. We will ZOT the lib trolls as they turn up as always. That's the conservative way. LOL

Maybe a moratorium just on election day. If Bush wins, the trolls will swarm to bemoan his victory. If, God forbid, Kerry wins, they'll swarm even worse just to gloat and rub it in. I have a feeling even the mods will have a hard time keeping up with all of them.

But if there are nuclear weapons in Iraq, doesn't they pretty much confirm WMDs were there all along?

I'm not getting it......

We were going to ger hit pieces all week regardless of the particulars. This will try to sway those who think Bush is doing well in the Terror War. It's supposed to look like by "invading Iraq" we helped the terrorists rather than hurt them. Bush will be put on defense all week.

More and more I'm liking the idea of not allowing anyone with less than several months and dozens of replies the privilege of being able to post. I would even go so far as not allowing replying until they've been signed up for weeks if not months.

This past several months it seems there are more vanities and more "Hey, I'm watching Chris Mathews and it's really neat" threads that it's getting harder and harder to sort the wheat from the chaff.

I hope this gets better after the election.

Well, as long as it's not pulled... can you please explain why the talkingpointsmemo.com link is a non-story?
