Interesting article which seems to match with statistics in the latest Miami Herald poll.

Seems like a trend around most of the country. Most polls have shown Bush doubling to tripling his support among blacks compared to 2000. If the numbers are true, Kerry is toast.

Why would blacks vote for the party that enslaved them for a hundred years and then kept them from voting for another hundred?

Sounds like RNC incomptence.

Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

Surely a fair number of blacks must realise how the Democrats use them and take their support for granted. The Democrats have held them down for 50 years. Some of them are waking up to the fact that Democrats see them as dependent children who can only make it in this world with the help of the white liberal.

I know Ron Smith - am on a board with him - and he is a good guy who has his head screwed on right. I wish the black community had many more leaders like him!

The Republican party is open to all who seek freedom and a better way of life. It's time for these people to listen for themselves instead of being spoon fed the Democratic pablum

"Too many African-Americans vote for Democrats just because we always have."

i think this is true of many union folks. however, intelligent people when shown facts and hard data they at least consider voting differently. while it could be better, i think that bush has done a decent job of getting facts on the table to counter the emotional "big gov't can fix it" message that dem's seem so well at pushing.

No wonder the Democrats have gone insane. If black people can think for themselves, their party is finished.

[ "A black person voting for a Republican makes about as much sense as a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders." ]

Actually the reverse is TRUE...
"A black person voting for a DEMOCRAT makes about as much sense as a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders."

The brain washing is deep among blacks and Jews.. The same could be said about Jews too.. The MSM had been brain washing them for generations.. LEGALLY.. and with their own consent..

When, Asked WHO stood in the doors of school houses in the south against blacks entering.. What do you think.. they think ?...
If you said democrats you'd be WRONG...

I looked at all the issues Democrats are fighting for, and I saw no good ideas," said Ron Smith, 36, a Lauderhill management consultant. "Too many African-Americans vote for Democrats just because we always have.

Spread the word, Ron-bo...

Take heed, Democrats: Unrequited love is not an option

***SNELLVILLE, GA. – The black American electorate is at zero hour; a vital decision must be made.
After 64 years of mostly unrequited love, black voters must choose to end their unilateral devotion to the Democratic Party. This will not be easy, and what is
required for black voters to let go and realize their full potential will be counterintuitive to prevailing political thought in the African-American community.

Prior to 1940, most blacks who were able to vote identified themselves as Republicans because Abraham Lincoln - the great Emancipator - was a Republican. But
with the success of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal policies, blacks began voting for Democratic candidates and by 1960, most had migrated to the
party. For the second half of the 20th century, blacks have been a reliable constituency for the Democrats. Yet no longer can we afford to base party affiliation and
voting patterns on sentimentalism.

The black electorate has received only a small and inconsistent return on its unyielding loyalty. Self-respecting black voters should not be counted on to flex their
enormous political muscles on cue without asking for, and receiving, more return on their investment.

That yield must include more blacks in all levels of Democratic Party leadership and an unfeigned effort to promote blacks for statewide and national office - even
the presidency.

Eloquent speeches at the 2004 Democratic convention by the Rev. Al Sharpton, a former presidential candidate and by Barack Obama, a candidate for US Senate
from Illinois, are not fair trade for robust black electoral capital……***

We as Blacks need to give the political process a much closer look. Being military I generally support the party that supports me, meaning GOP. Not keen on the idea of always voting along party lines I must advocate getting underneath the issues before we cast our vote.

"At one house they'd tell you, `I'm not interested. I'm going to vote for Kerry.' But at the next house, they would sit and listen."

Freaking amazing... Sounds just like ANY neighborhood to me.
